Just like every state in the USA, there’s good and a lotta bad. The goal today is to talk about the worst places you could live in Texas. These are the places that just about everyone here would agree are pretty crummy.

In order to determine which are the worst places in Texas, we just had to look at ‘worst’ things. That means statistics like crime, poverty and bad schools. The type of stuff most Texans tend to avoid.

So, grab some BBQ and throw on your boots as we mosey on through the worst places you can live in the state of Texas.

Killeen We begin our journey along the worst places you can live in Texas in the small city of Killeen, just off of I-35 west of Temple.

Our next stop along our worst Texas tour brings us to Cleveland Texas. This is a much smaller place – the population is only around 7,000 people. Cleveland is along I-69 northeast of Houston.

Okay, so we’re going to take a quick stop in our 8th worst place you can live in Texas, Hutchins. Here in Hutchins, things aren’t very good. This teeny little city of 5,200 people is just outside the Dallas belt line.

But for now, it’s time to move on to our 7th worst place to live in Texas, El Paso. For things to do, there is more than in the other cities we’ve mentioned so far. Of course, there’s a university here, and some mountains to hike in. And you can go to Juarez for a thrill. Does having more 99 cent stores than anywhere else on earth count for something?

Our next stop along our worst place to live in Texas tour stops in Donna. This little city of 15,000 is located Donna, located at the far southeastern tip of the state, between McAllen and Brownsville.

We’re halfway through our tour of the most worstest cities to live in the entire state of Texas and we’re going to stop in number 5, Humble. Like Houston, Humble is a case of the haves and have nots. It has a low economic outlook and significantly high number of convenience and discount stores.

Our fourth worst place to live in the state of Texas is none other than Port Arthur. Here, home prices are the 16th lowest in Texas, and the unemployment rate is in the top 10%.

Hey now. We’re in the top three worst places you can live in Texas, as we come to Robstown. A ton of people are out of work here – more than 8%. Average home price in Texas is $151k. Robstown’s is $50k.

Who’s our runner up as the worst place in Texas? Bellmead is. Do they even have a Whataburger here?

The worst place to live in Texas is Southeast Houston after dark.

Where is all the succession talk in Texas these days? Texas wants to tell other state’s citizens how to vote, keep their power deregulated to rob their citizens blind and then come begging for power when their under-supported grid fails. They restrict their citizens voting to one polling place per county, and suppress women’s personal reproductive rights into oblivion.

Texas is the ultimate financially irresponsible big mouth too. Before the Federal welfare started rolling in, to the tune of $294 BILLION in federal relief packages (sent to Texas over the past year by the United States Congress), their state Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced that the state was on track to end the biennium with a nearly $4.6 billion deficit.

Texas is too chickensh*t to succeed from the United States because it needs Federal welfare to survive. The rest of the states should just kick them out.

I have lived in Pasadena, TX, part of southeast Houston for morethan 2 years and I feel secure in my neighborhood, streets, restaurants, etc.
I think it depends the neighborhood you live in.

  12. Ian Ramos on September 5, 2021 at 5:34 pm

You also apparently forgot where El Paso is located cause that’s Dallas and not El Paso. El Paso is located on the most eastern point of Texas not up north near Dallas.

  13. Jake Goodman on September 5, 2021 at 5:37 pm

Ya you need to work on your stars. Cleveland and Port Arthur were ok not so much for El Paso and Humble.

Also Robstown isnt anymore a Corpus Suburb than Beaumont and Port Arthur.

Killeen is a Military town. Labeling it as unsafe is moronic. How can you be safer with the Army right there? Lol

  32. Marcus C on September 5, 2021 at 6:05 pm

Lol no bro. This is a stretch. Humble doesn’t look like that at all , Port Arthur isn’t that bad both of these cities are built up new homes malls, entertainment. Cleveland is just a little country town but it’s millions of those all over Tx waaaay worse. SE Houston just depends where you live.. the same as any huge city.

  33. Laby 70 on September 5, 2021 at 6:06 pm

  42. David Jasso on September 5, 2021 at 6:16 pm

El Paso is in West Tx, first of all. Second it’s welcoming as hell to everyone and anyone. 3rd the city has grown a lot and has a lot to do now. A lot of positive things in El Paso that could’ve been mentioned. And the fact that you brought up if they even speak English down there is pretty messed up. Never even been there clearly and those people who you got articles from probably never have been there either

  43. Adam Carranza on September 5, 2021 at 6:16 pm

I’m a proud native Texan who lives in Houston and am getting out of this demoncrat-run sh*thole just as quickly as I can. Moving to Sierra Blanca, east of El Paso. Nothing out there that a shotgun can’t fix

  47. Kimberly Mathis on September 5, 2021 at 6:21 pm

  48. Ludovic Le Prince Royal on September 5, 2021 at 6:22 pm

South East Houston is a "Black Hole" according to our host….oh my. Houston proper is the "fattest city in the US" and unless your rich, is a complete shiite–hole.

  49. Gregory Davis on September 5, 2021 at 6:23 pm

Umm I think marlin tx is the poorest city in texas

  50. Jo Swanell on September 5, 2021 at 6:23 pm

I generally enjoy watching your videos about Minnesota, the state where I was born & raised. When I was 24 I moved to Texas and have lived there since. But from your opening line in this video, when you said, "Howdy", I had a feeling this was going to be bad, and I was right.
The writing & production of this video screams of total bias, bigotry & ignorance. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve even visited the state of Texas, any of it!
From now on I’ll be ignoring your videos, even on Minnesota.
I’ll use other sources to gather information, accurate sources from now on.
