Started throwing rangs again after +30years. Got almost my arm dislocated. Can’t remember it cost so much energy to throw. Must be something to do with age…
You can use conventional "real" boomerangs but these are "real" boomerangs designed for specific competition events, for example throwing and catching a boomerang 5 times as fast as possible. The current world record for that event is by Adam Ruhf at around 14.5 seconds for 5 catches. Hobby boomerangs have more conventional flight patterns and are often easier to catch. Just remember to buy a real boomerang, as in one that actually works rather than a souvenier or toy.
