  5. Austin Hallock on December 24, 2019 at 5:18 am

Goose Lake was one of our favorites too. We stayed about a mile down the road from where you guys were. There’s a trailhead up to a fire watch tower that was pretty cool, and at the base of the trail (couple hundred yards from the campsite) was an old herder’s cabin. Hasn’t been used in decades, but was cool to look around (still had a 1930s stove and some other furniture). Top spot for us so far was probably Sawtooth National Recreation Area – also in Idaho

  6. Virginia Lemm on December 24, 2019 at 5:19 am

Great information you two! Thank you so much! 🎄🌲🚴‍♂️🏔🏕

  7. Jumping Off The Cliff on December 24, 2019 at 5:20 am

Oh man, Angel Peak is on now on my list. We stay at Navajo Lake State Park quite often, but it has a 14 day limit. We’ll just pop over to Angel Peak for a week. Thanks for the tips.

  8. T. N. Schumacher on December 24, 2019 at 5:22 am

Glad to see your having fun. When I got out of the military 1972 I bought a 69 ford van and made it into a camper. Then went to the Desert of southern New Mexico and dug for Gold. But for fun in January I would head for Quartzsite Arizona. Then for the 4th of July I would go to Gunnison, Colorado. After collecting enough gold I bought a 42’ sailboat and spent 2 years in the Caribbean playing around. By 1978 I was back home married with a 9to5.
Now retired kids grown and gone wife passed away from breast cancer. I have gone back on the road again.
I have a 1975 24 foot Airstream argosy motorhome. I tore it all apart and rebuilt it myself. I have a 5.9 cummins diesel 8 speed Allison + high and low transmission 4 wheel drive. I drag a 67 VW beetle Baja.

  9. The Phenomenal Phive on December 24, 2019 at 5:22 am

I have to second that your site reviews are the best.

  10. cslay06 on December 24, 2019 at 5:22 am

You guys rock. I too, love your top five picks, not even having ever been to any of them. I hope your weather in Washington this time of year isn’t too crappy! I wish you guys a very Merry Christmas with family! I bet you won’t waste any time getting back south after the New Year. . . lol.

  11. Douglas Payne on December 24, 2019 at 5:22 am

You should travel into smokey mountains

  12. L W on December 24, 2019 at 5:22 am

  13. Adventure Shark on December 24, 2019 at 5:23 am

Because Washington is the BEST STATE!

  19. Ripleys Enroute on December 24, 2019 at 5:29 am

We were just at that campsite in Mount Baker – we hiked up to your favourite spot and thought about putting our 26 foot travel trailer there however, as you mentioned, it would take a bit of dropping and hook ups to get it in place – also, it was quite cool in early Nov – one other thing – if you look down the side there was a lot of trash dumped by some people who don’t care much – found a few spent casings and even a live round of ammunition – but it sure was pretty to look around – cheers!

  20. BOB PEG on December 24, 2019 at 5:29 am

cool places! see you on the road.

  21. Ricardos Travels on December 24, 2019 at 5:29 am

FYI everyone: ☆MORE ON THE WEBSITE: If you are having trouble accessing the website – you need to replace "5-best-rv-campsites" with "5-best-free-rv-campsites" (it’s missing the "free")

  22. Mark Cole on December 24, 2019 at 5:30 am

How in the living h#ll did you turn your trailer around at the Epic campsite??? I grew up in the mountains of N. California and now live in Montana and am seriously used to mountainous dirt roads but it looks like you took a fire road up to that site lol. I’d be seriously concerned taking my 34′ Outdoors RV in something that tight with no prospects of being able to turn around :^)

  23. ae4xo on December 24, 2019 at 5:31 am

Angel peak comes with people yelling at you all day lol

  24. SentByHim on December 24, 2019 at 5:31 am

I so love that you include coordinates for these places in their respective videos. 🙂

  25. Michael on December 24, 2019 at 5:31 am

I was actually pretty surprised that a campsite that had little to no cell service made it to your #1 on the top 5 list. That says a lot about the site, that it exceeded your expectations enough to supersede those very important requirements for you. LOL. (I mean, it’s pretty clear that the "Epic" site IS your number one. Just the look on your faces alone tells us that.) Being born and raised in desert New Mexico I think I would have to go with the site near Sedona, Arizona or the site at Angel Peak. My only downside to Angel Peak would be that I’d have to be considerably more careful walking those trails today than I was back when I was much younger. Blood pressure problems crop up from time to time and the last thing I need is to get woozy on the top of one of those trails and FALL DOWN THE side of a mountain. Goose Lake looked GORGEOUS!!!! I could totally get lost in a site like that, all to myself and alone with nature. 💕 Safe travels, y’all!

  26. Lea Gnorts on December 24, 2019 at 5:36 am

Nice video! Have you guys thought of going to Baja in the winter?

  27. Madeline Highland on December 24, 2019 at 5:41 am

Why aren’t you leaving with 10” of snow coming!!!!

  28. FlyBoy Troy on December 24, 2019 at 5:42 am

2 Thumbs Up Guys – for picking up all that trash "3 trash bags full" someone else left inside the fire pit in the Angel Peak Scenic Area Campground… and all the other sites you didn’t film picking up trash left by other people!

  31. Mark Christie on December 24, 2019 at 5:49 am

We look forward to seeing the snow in your next video. Stay safe and warm.

  32. Travel Small Live Big on December 24, 2019 at 5:52 am

That must have been a hard list to narrow down! We love to have cell service, but every once in awhile it’s nice not to have. Yes – the epic one – wow!

  33. BreatherBoy on December 24, 2019 at 5:53 am

Jenni is bangin…and so is David.

  34. The Salty Medic on December 24, 2019 at 5:53 am

Epic views and great sites for sure.

  35. LTDunltd on December 24, 2019 at 5:54 am

Great reviews of some awesome spots. I was surprised that your stay in the Fremont-Winema National Forest didn’t make the list. 🙂

  36. Asta on December 24, 2019 at 5:54 am

I will have you guys in my thoughts. You sound like you’ll have all the supplies to weather it out. Thank you for the review 🌺

  37. Elvis Tam on December 24, 2019 at 5:58 am

Beautiful sites! I wish I lived closer to them 😭

  38. michael burgueno on December 24, 2019 at 5:59 am

Love your videos? Do u use a WDH when u tow? If have never noticed one. Thanks!

  39. Scott Alpine on December 24, 2019 at 6:01 am

Omg!! I can’t believe you picked the Washington spot as #1. I live less than two hours from that spot and have been there several times. I was pretty impressed that you got your trailer up there. If you summer up here again next year definitely go check out Government Meadows, it’s it’s not too far from there.

  40. Living Nomadic Dreams on December 24, 2019 at 6:02 am

You guys got to get up to upper BC and Yukon CAN and Alaska. You will have a new top 5 list. 🙂

  41. Travels with Yoly on December 24, 2019 at 6:04 am

You know I love your campsite reviews and I’m so happy that you have them nicely organized in one of your playlists 🙂 Unfortunately, the only problem is that the closest one to us is just over 1,600 miles away !

  42. Timaz on December 24, 2019 at 6:05 am

LOL…got to have the alcohol when your stuck inside…and just celebrating a new site…nice job. I will go for #2…Idaho is in part of what I call God’s country…Beautiful.

  43. Brett Weaver on December 24, 2019 at 6:05 am

Hello David & Jenny (spelln)! I’ve just recently found your videos on ‘RV Living’ and found them very informative in terms of your suggestions, tips, what not to do’s, etc. I have been so interested in this in my retirement but have many questions. I started young (Police Officer) so I will be retiring young. I have simple questions like: How do you receive mail? Do you ever travel in teams of friends? I’ve seen the episode on your missing family so I was curious how you mitigate that beyond traveling to them. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing and I hope to learn more as I prepare to join the family of full-time RV’ers! Thank you.

  44. Jerry Brady on December 24, 2019 at 6:07 am

Thanks for the honest and thorough reviews Guys!

  45. Dave Holcomb on December 24, 2019 at 6:11 am

Very nice reviews guys! BTW, for every 1000’ of elevation, the temperature drops an average of 2 degrees.
Hope you weather the storm ok.
