Thanks for sharing your top picks. they all look great and look like places we would go!👍
I wish I could have me and my lady get to drive our 84 chevy lazydaze to free land to stay on for us both so we can be alone and feel freedom to camp and stay and be near place for food and water and to put our trash in trash bens and get propaine and can dump our tanks at dumpstation is there any place like I am asking for us here in california
Have fun in the snow guys. Just be careful. Later….
Yes, y’all got the drinks. lol. My name is finally on the list! Loved this video. Stay warm!!! I can not wait to visit there!!!
Goose Lake was one of our favorites too. We stayed about a mile down the road from where you guys were. There’s a trailhead up to a fire watch tower that was pretty cool, and at the base of the trail (couple hundred yards from the campsite) was an old herder’s cabin. Hasn’t been used in decades, but was cool to look around (still had a 1930s stove and some other furniture). Top spot for us so far was probably Sawtooth National Recreation Area – also in Idaho
Great information you two! Thank you so much! 🎄🌲🚴♂️🏔🏕
Oh man, Angel Peak is on now on my list. We stay at Navajo Lake State Park quite often, but it has a 14 day limit. We’ll just pop over to Angel Peak for a week. Thanks for the tips.
Glad to see your having fun. When I got out of the military 1972 I bought a 69 ford van and made it into a camper. Then went to the Desert of southern New Mexico and dug for Gold. But for fun in January I would head for Quartzsite Arizona. Then for the 4th of July I would go to Gunnison, Colorado. After collecting enough gold I bought a 42’ sailboat and spent 2 years in the Caribbean playing around. By 1978 I was back home married with a 9to5.
Now retired kids grown and gone wife passed away from breast cancer. I have gone back on the road again.
I have a 1975 24 foot Airstream argosy motorhome. I tore it all apart and rebuilt it myself. I have a 5.9 cummins diesel 8 speed Allison + high and low transmission 4 wheel drive. I drag a 67 VW beetle Baja.
I have to second that your site reviews are the best.
You guys rock. I too, love your top five picks, not even having ever been to any of them. I hope your weather in Washington this time of year isn’t too crappy! I wish you guys a very Merry Christmas with family! I bet you won’t waste any time getting back south after the New Year. . . lol.
You should travel into smokey mountains
We’re headed that way in two weeks – hopefully the weather is better!
I’m looking forward to the next couple videos to see your snow pictures.
Nice…idaho panhandle here…
Great review – ,but shhhh! Don’t tell everyone! Thanks!
That one place that you stayed it that you were all alone at looks like where they shot the movie called longmier Netflix picked it up and it became a series
great video!!!! Awesome!!!
Because Washington is the BEST STATE!
We were just at that campsite in Mount Baker – we hiked up to your favourite spot and thought about putting our 26 foot travel trailer there however, as you mentioned, it would take a bit of dropping and hook ups to get it in place – also, it was quite cool in early Nov – one other thing – if you look down the side there was a lot of trash dumped by some people who don’t care much – found a few spent casings and even a live round of ammunition – but it sure was pretty to look around – cheers!
cool places! see you on the road.
FYI everyone: ☆MORE ON THE WEBSITE: If you are having trouble accessing the website – you need to replace "5-best-rv-campsites" with "5-best-free-rv-campsites" (it’s missing the "free")
How in the living h#ll did you turn your trailer around at the Epic campsite??? I grew up in the mountains of N. California and now live in Montana and am seriously used to mountainous dirt roads but it looks like you took a fire road up to that site lol. I’d be seriously concerned taking my 34′ Outdoors RV in something that tight with no prospects of being able to turn around :^)
Angel peak comes with people yelling at you all day lol
I so love that you include coordinates for these places in their respective videos. 🙂
I was actually pretty surprised that a campsite that had little to no cell service made it to your #1 on the top 5 list. That says a lot about the site, that it exceeded your expectations enough to supersede those very important requirements for you. LOL. (I mean, it’s pretty clear that the "Epic" site IS your number one. Just the look on your faces alone tells us that.) Being born and raised in desert New Mexico I think I would have to go with the site near Sedona, Arizona or the site at Angel Peak. My only downside to Angel Peak would be that I’d have to be considerably more careful walking those trails today than I was back when I was much younger. Blood pressure problems crop up from time to time and the last thing I need is to get woozy on the top of one of those trails and FALL DOWN THE side of a mountain. Goose Lake looked GORGEOUS!!!! I could totally get lost in a site like that, all to myself and alone with nature. 💕 Safe travels, y’all!
Nice video! Have you guys thought of going to Baja in the winter?
Love Snowqualimee!!
Why aren’t you leaving with 10” of snow coming!!!!
im about to fly over sadona in 45 minutes lol😎

2 Thumbs Up Guys – for picking up all that trash "3 trash bags full" someone else left inside the fire pit in the Angel Peak Scenic Area Campground… and all the other sites you didn’t film picking up trash left by other people!
We look forward to seeing the snow in your next video. Stay safe and warm.
That must have been a hard list to narrow down! We love to have cell service, but every once in awhile it’s nice not to have. Yes – the epic one – wow!
Jenni is bangin…and so is David.
Epic views and great sites for sure.
Great reviews of some awesome spots. I was surprised that your stay in the Fremont-Winema National Forest didn’t make the list. 🙂
I will have you guys in my thoughts. You sound like you’ll have all the supplies to weather it out. Thank you for the review 🌺
Beautiful sites! I wish I lived closer to them 😭
Love your videos? Do u use a WDH when u tow? If have never noticed one. Thanks!
Omg!! I can’t believe you picked the Washington spot as #1. I live less than two hours from that spot and have been there several times. I was pretty impressed that you got your trailer up there. If you summer up here again next year definitely go check out Government Meadows, it’s it’s not too far from there.
You guys got to get up to upper BC and Yukon CAN and Alaska. You will have a new top 5 list. 🙂
You know I love your campsite reviews and I’m so happy that you have them nicely organized in one of your playlists 🙂 Unfortunately, the only problem is that the closest one to us is just over 1,600 miles away !
LOL…got to have the alcohol when your stuck inside…and just celebrating a new site…nice job. I will go for #2…Idaho is in part of what I call God’s country…Beautiful.
Hello David & Jenny (spelln)! I’ve just recently found your videos on ‘RV Living’ and found them very informative in terms of your suggestions, tips, what not to do’s, etc. I have been so interested in this in my retirement but have many questions. I started young (Police Officer) so I will be retiring young. I have simple questions like: How do you receive mail? Do you ever travel in teams of friends? I’ve seen the episode on your missing family so I was curious how you mitigate that beyond traveling to them. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing and I hope to learn more as I prepare to join the family of full-time RV’ers! Thank you.
Thanks for the honest and thorough reviews Guys!
Very nice reviews guys! BTW, for every 1000’ of elevation, the temperature drops an average of 2 degrees.
Hope you weather the storm ok.
Sweet drone shots!
love the trees!
You guys are awesome, just living the life most of us dream of.love the episode with the lectric xp and many more! Keep us smiling and positive…njoy the GreatOutdoors!
You two are great young people!!! I truly enjoy watching your videos! And if I could get my wife to do this stuff, life would be perfect! Shes is TOO social and tied to home base! DARN! lollll But we did do Utah& Arizona for a few weeks a month ago and that was BEEEEAUUUTIFUL! Also when you were up in Washington did you get up to Chinook Pass off 410 when you camped? I certainly hope so!!! We live just off 410! Thats our backyard! We offroad and snow mobile up there! Very cool area!
Glad to see an Idaho spot in here. There’s many more top spots here. Winter campings the bomb.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas! Safe journeys!
