Gents this fine and skilled, prove that age…is just another arbitrary number in life. Just a sublime piece.

  17. Mitchell Mitchell on May 26, 2020 at 4:58 pm

He’s 80 years old and still talks about his father. Man I love being a dad (2 young boys)! It takes responsibility and courage and the love of god to be a good father, so your kids can be good fathers. Thank you dad.

  27. How To Do Stuff on May 26, 2020 at 5:11 pm

This guys muscle memory knows more about metal working than most peoples whole brain.

  28. Benjamin Goulet on May 26, 2020 at 5:14 pm

Just a heads up when I use the link to the knife website I get a huge warning about an unsafe site…. I’m guessing that’s because you’re helping CY (third party) but it still frightens most people.

  29. Randy Kutter on May 26, 2020 at 5:14 pm

I wish Cy was my neighbor I could learn a lot from that man he would have to throw a hand grenade in his shop to get me out when he was working in there

  30. ExplorerExtraordinaire! on May 26, 2020 at 5:14 pm

I Like than man’s soul as depicted in this recording. Cy; you (are) the best!

damn hes rocking some carhartt overalls

  36. SkylineToTheSeaAndMe on May 26, 2020 at 5:24 pm

He’s exactly the same age as my Dad. And that is a quality knife and blade that will keep an edge. This generation and especially those long before, made almost everything by hand. They couldn’t just go to the hardware store or the five and dime.

  37. Fylgda Hermetics on May 26, 2020 at 5:25 pm

There is no such things as a Old Man, there is only a man! Great craftsman

  38. Topher on May 26, 2020 at 5:27 pm

What kind of steel I wonder does Cy prefer?

  39. Shawn Tartaglia on May 26, 2020 at 5:27 pm

Love his warranty. "If your knife breaks and you are not a jackass I will replace it for you."

  40. Mitsuko Walker on May 26, 2020 at 5:28 pm

I tend to agree with Glenn’s comments. But, more to my point; I can’t get into the page for "Buying a knife ..Cy, etc…." I get a very strong message telling me to get off the page as it will allow bad people to come in and eat my pc or at least infest my pc with bad colds, etc… So, is there another way to see what he makes and sells? Please be aware that I am only slightly more smart in pc-dom as I am re; metal smithing….. (sorry)

  41. CJ Phillips on May 26, 2020 at 5:28 pm

    that guy is amazing!

  42. The Super-wrench Garage on May 26, 2020 at 5:28 pm

  43. Stephen Eaton on May 26, 2020 at 5:32 pm

Can you tell me what the notch at the base of the blade is for?

  44. Rogerio Sartori on May 26, 2020 at 5:36 pm

    beautiful work!

  45. Thiele on May 26, 2020 at 5:39 pm

When you see Cy swinging that cross peen hammer, you first will think(at least I did anyhow) well, he’s slowed down quite a bit, kinda a frail old man, aint he? But then you look again, and realise he’s swinging a 4 Lbs cross peen, and holy cow does that steel MOVE! Then you remember he’s 80, pulling 400 degree knives out of ovens with his bare hands. If you dont have someone to look up to, you do now. God bless that son of a gun.

  46. Hubert Krzemien on May 26, 2020 at 5:41 pm

That’s a neat trick attaching one scale at a time. I will have to use that in the future. Thanks.

  47. Jeremiah Hedeen on May 26, 2020 at 5:41 pm

I was currently given one of cys knives as a gift from my wife for our daughters birth and this man is artist in every sense of the word, anybody that gets a chance to hold one of these knives is a better man for having done so

  48. Ethan Heyne on May 26, 2020 at 5:42 pm

Bare hands and still all his fingers and nails! That’s proof of years of focused attention while working, with maybe a few small miracles thrown in.

  49. d bisram on May 26, 2020 at 5:42 pm

Cy kinda reminds me of Hub from the movie secondhand lions.lol.
