Backpacking Sequoia 4K Highlights: Kaweah Gap/Hamilton Lakes/Black Rock Pass

Watch full trip video here: https://youtu.be/mHTrKD2DiKg . These are the highlights from a very smoky backpacking trip into Sequoia National Park, part of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. I did a loop out of Cresent Meadows, going over Black Rock Pass, Kaweah Gap, and past the Hamilton Lakes area. Part of the route was along the High Sierra Trail. I did this trip the second week of November, 2018

Great film. Nature is oftentimes too beautiful and magnificent to be simply described by words.

I would love to do these types of solo hiking. But I’m so paranoid of being attacked by bears or mountain lions.

Very nice little documentary, outstanding job on the cinematography. I had always wanted to do a trans-Sierra, crossing Kaweah Gap. Won’t happen now, I do treasure my memories of the back country.
