CAMPING & HIKING IN THE TEXAS GRAND CANYON (Palo Duro Canyon State Park) | Texas Road Trip PART 2!

CAMPING & HIKING IN THE TEXAS GRAND CANYON (Palo Duro Canyon State Park) | Texas Road Trip PART 2!

Palo Duro Canyon State Park is one of the most underrated destinations I’ve EVER been to! It’s the second-largest canyon in the United States and is a quick 45-minute drive from Amarillo. There’s some awesome RV camping in Palo Duro (we stayed at Juniper campground), the hikes are absolutely STUNNING, and the mountain biking trails are epic.

We got up at sunrise and hiked the 5.8-mile Lighthouse Trail (https://bit.ly/3tdt2h8) to the iconic 300-foot Lighthouse Rock. Palo Duro is truly the hidden gem of Texas and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

➡ ABOUT ME
My name is Crosby and I am a freelancer and blogger currently working remotely and traveling the USA in a travel trailer with my boyfriend, Dylan! After a few corporate jobs throughout college, I quickly realized that the 9-5 lifestyle wasn’t for me. So I built up my freelance business, saved a bunch of money, and went on a 2-month Colorado road trip where I lived in my car while traveling and working remotely. Now, I’m traveling full-time in a travel trailer and sharing everything I learn on YouTube!

Be sure to subscribe here on YouTube and follow me on Instagram for daily updates! Thanks so much for watching!

So My wonderful wife and I are about an hour north of Dallas. I was researching Palo Duro and saw your video! Subscribed! We are looking to book in April. If you were looking to book again and could pick any specific site or loop (Mesquite, Sagebrush, Hackberry, or Juniper seem to be only RV loops) to book in PD, which would you choose and why? Any PD advice? We have a 30′ KZ connect 241RLK TT.

07:32 I don’t see the sign? "If you see my trailer rocking, don’t come a knocking". Cheezzze need to get some z’s. Some say there’s a lot of cool graffiti at the very top of the lighthouse rock.

Very cool video guys, I enjoy watching your videos and getting ideas of where to go, and what to do when I get my travel trailer. Also it’s cool to watch you guys having a good time traveling, getting to know our great nation! 👊🏻🇺🇸

May I offer a slight suggestion?

Get another hose for the black water flushing. I’ve watched some serious 🤢 stuff being connected to those taps that you do not want anything that goes to fresh water to get near. I got an orange one and just keep it dedicated for that purpose.

Great to see guys out and about enjoying the 17MKE. Ours is sitting under a cover (not a carport type but actual fabric one) waiting till July for our next adventure.

    Stay safe!

Now that you’ve got the Light House trail out of the way, there are so many other great hikes in the canyon on your next trip.
