ℹ️About the episode:
In this episode, we make our way from Hilton Head, SC to Stone Mountain State Park and squeeze into a site with a view. We were told after we got the Grand Design Momentum 399TH that we would never fit into state parks. Although most state parks only accommodate RV’s up to 30 feet, Stone Mountain is the first of three state parks we’ve stayed at this season.
In this episode, we leave Savannah, GA and make our way to Atlanta and then Nashville, but Marc flew to Tampa, FL to meet KYD Insiders Brad and Amber, the new owners of Grand Ginger. It was fun to see Ginger go to an excited family that has been preparing to go full time for the past year and already looking for a Grand Design Reflection 312bh.

Zip tie the mudflap to the step bumper.
I’m not here for the RV’ing….I’m just here to find out what the thump is.
that rig is huuge. great videos tho! 👍 Marc is very attractive! 😋
no rainx on that windshield
What’s the name of the park in Nashville?
What site number did you have at Stone Mountain Park? My wife and I are planning a trip there soon.
The thumping noise. Is it your rear suspension helper springs hitting the stops?
We have a 40 foot rig and have stayed at many state parks this summer too.
Just wondering how come you have not got a back up camera on the back of the RV yet?
Recommend you change those Mud Flaps to Gatorback Mud Flaps. Problem eliminated.
love your videos and family, thank you for sharing and for the great tips you share!
Wow that was a great parenting tip devied and concor
You traveled my path from ga to tn so familiar plus you camped right near our house in Nashville, nice to see you close
That looks huge! Your a better man than me! I’ll stick with my 25 foot LTV Unity MB! Love your channel!
You guys are so fun
Did you say what site number you had in Stone Mountain? I think this is the site we have booked for fall! As good as it is to travel together as a family, it sure has it’s struggles too doesn’t it? I must say now that the kids are flying out of the nest, travel with just Hubby and me is so….. nice! Just go, no negotiations , just go. So there is that! 😉 I miss them but I don’t miss that. LOL
howdy, with the problems you are encountering with the new toy hauler did you do a complete PDI at your dealer?
Truckers path is awesome too or a RV gps works well too. For the mud-flaps a small chain bolted to the flap and inside to the truck works.
What site were yall at?
Sorry if this has been answered, what site # were you at in Stone Mountain? We are camping at #327 red loop, in December. Very excited!
We really enjoy your videos. One day I hope we can get on the road instead of just weekend trips.
On your new truck map app, if there’s a place to notify the system that you’re carrying propane, it might be the hazmat. There are places we’re not allowed to drive in our RV’s, such as the lower bridge deck of the George Washington Bridge in NYC.
May I ask how much you lost with only having this trailer less than a year? I’m sure GD and Lazy Days help take care of you but what would one expect to lose by upgrading this quick?
ever heard of Gaff tape? it doesn’t leave a residue behind like Duct tape. Just an idea…
I live near stone mountain Georgia I know they recently fixed the park up but it’s more like a theme park than a state park anymore 🙁
What a Hot Wife and Mother. HOT. And SMART. Great Channel. Thank You, Good Job.
Have you seen the new Ninja instapot/air fryer ?!
I already have the reservation at the Grand Ole RV Resort for July 2020… Thank you for the mention…
Advice for your windshield. Use flitz ceramic coat. Won’t have to use your wipers. Much better than rain X. Wipers last longer. Like ur channel👍
Where do you find the music for your videos?
Our main house is Just a mile down Old Springfield Pike! The Grand Ole RV park owners are amazing and really care about the community. I got a flat tire right in front of the park with two kids in the car and the owner came out and changed it for me! Just an FYI, unfortunately that campsite floods a few times a year so just stay on your toes if it rains a lot.
The thump was fixed!! YAY!!
When is a network going to pick you guys up? You guys are more entertaining that half the crap on TV. Maybe like the "Ed" movie. You guys are on camera 24/7 hahaha, that would be interesting.
Love your channel, been binge watching today. We have a 2018 GD Solitude 375RES. We also live about 45 minutes away from Stone Mountain Park. I have always been concerned about going there because of the size of our RV. Can you please tell me what site you were in at Stone Mountain?
Thanks Ken
I noticed the mud flap was hitting your running board in the extended position.
U should get a garmin trucker gps that way u stay on truck routes
17:57 Nashville is also referred to as Nashvegas. Nashville is supposedly the #1 spot for bachelorette parties
12:06 Now that you said that, I am hearing the same thing in my F450…..sticking to the end to figure out what it could be
I love watching your videos. You guys are the cutest family.
so the mud flaps………… actually flap!! lol. we need to upgrade them then. Im getting the same setup you installed in the back. Eventually will get all 4 replaced with rubber flaps from gatorback
Yesterday coming back from an RV trip in Oregon. We ended up parked on I-5 for 3hrs. The folks next to us said their 1yo was getting cranky. I laughed and said our 12yo and 17yo are cranky and pushing each others buttons. The parenting problem never ends, ugh…
I live 10 minutes away!!!
17:07 Looks kinda like Ron Howard….
we are going to Nashville in Oct of this year, thanks for the info.
like this couple
The ending where she almost took out the curb was the best part for me🤣
I totally agree with you about park host and staff. My parents and I were RVing the summer after my 5th grade year and we stopped at Beavertail Hill State Park in Montana for a night, about 30 minutes south of Missoula, and as we were leaving we asked the park host if there was a place that we could fill up our water tank because our tank was almost dry and the sites had no city water hookup. The couple who were the camp hosts were very nice and the husband disconnected their city water and dragged it over to our fill up and just said "there is now!" I will always remember those people and how nice they were. Since then I went back with my dad on a fishing trip and had an awesome time there (except it rained for 2 days straight but we are from oregon so…) and I am certain that I will be back.
Favorite place to camp in Tennessee is Douglas Tailwater Campgrounds. Great place, well taken care of and very friendly staff on site.
The bottom of Stone Mountain is in Australia. Down there, it’s called Ayers Rock!!
LOVE seeing you guys in the south east 😍😍 ! It’s familiar territory. My husband’s family is originally from Atlanta (well Marietta) and moved to SC, and I’m originally from the upstate of SC. Love seeing familiar land. Stone Mountain is quite the staple landmark for us
