Fishing CAPE COD CANAL DAY 1 (Ft. On The Water Magazine)

Our Ultimate Fishing Bucket List Challenge has brought us to Cape Cod MA! It is DAY 1 at the Cape Cod Canal! We are at On The Water HQ to get some insight on the striped bass migration and for help crossing off our items from our Ultimate Fishing Bucket List! On The Water Magazine is a great source of fishing help for fisherman in the North East USA. We take their advice and as soon as we hit the canal we found fish!

How can you keep that fish if you snagged it, is in not illegal to snag fish in MA?

  23. TomyTek Outdoors on May 11, 2020 at 4:35 pm

Pretty cool you went to On The Water. Their migration chart is really helpful. Striper fishing is starting to pick up now. They just have to get to your bait before the catfish do. That snagged tog was a nice bonus. I’ll take them all day over rockfish. They are delicious.

Tip for the canal instead of casting directly infront of you cast the opposite of the tide

  36. Caleb Christensen on May 11, 2020 at 4:51 pm

Idk what’s all on the list, but the catfish one should be a bit more nuanced, like catch and blue-cat 25+lbs, and channel-cat 10+ lbs, and a flathead(yellow-cat) 20+ lbs.
also try to catch 100lbs of fish in one day.

  37. WJB on May 11, 2020 at 4:52 pm

I havent used the map before, might try looking it up

U guys are legit now lol thats sweet. Me and my buddy are from buffalo and both were with you when u were under like 5k. We didnt even realize it til i mentioned a video while fishing for walleye lol

  47. Bender Fender on May 11, 2020 at 5:00 pm

I got a Rule for the list. Foul hooks and snags don’t count. Unless it’s for sturgeon. Also, paddlefish need to be on the list. Some states they are plentiful. If you catch one in PA you could help out some research, but your chances are slim.
