I visited the awesome city of Rockport, Tx. I am simply amazed on how much history this small big city has. Located off the South Texas Coast, Rockport offers so much to the outdoors enthusiast. It’s a very fishing friendly city. I had a great time exploring Rockport, Tx and I will be back!

Thanks for this vid. I’ve fished a lot of the same areas that you have covered in your vids. It’s a lot of fun watching you cover some of the same areas.

Nice entertaining/informative video. I sailed to Rockport many years ago with a friend who had a house a few blocks from the small boat harbor. Did some crabbing but no fishing.

I’m sure some pronounce Copano the way you said it but we always pronounced it the first "o" being a long o sound. This was a great video and I love fishing port and Copano, my hometown being just north. Like others mentioned, great year round fishing, not just winter time.

Great job on the air views. I live in Rockport and do a lot of kayak fishing, if I see you on the water I’ll be happy to show you some of my favorite spots. Tight Lines, Be Well.

  17. Jon Garza on September 8, 2021 at 3:56 pm

Another fact on rockport is that it was the tarpon capital of the world back then. But over time it was over fished and now you can’t catch any

  18. James Gentry on September 8, 2021 at 3:57 pm

Try Aransas Pass on your Texas fishing travels. Just a short distance from rockport. Lots of marsh areas and inlets.

  37. Donna B on September 8, 2021 at 4:13 pm

I have been in Rockport the last four days fishing hard! Same situation. High winds, low tide movement. In my arsenal of Buggs, the only one I didn’t throw was the Hothead. Ugh! Caught a few 13” throwback Specs and a small Red. Fish were there somewhere because at the cleaning station they had chests FULL of Reds & Trout. But, you know what they say; any day on the water is a good say. Headed home to the Galveston area tomorrow.

Try fishing at 268–290 Seabreeze Dr
    Rockport, TX 78382
United States, there’s a really good Pier their, last time I went we caught over 19 fish

  47. Vince H on September 8, 2021 at 4:27 pm

Nick dont be fooled windy days top water can produce just FYI

  48. sail time on September 8, 2021 at 4:30 pm

Great video…fishing is great in Rockport. So is the bacterial count. Chemical pollutants rapidly building up…get here quick. Might suggest a strict "catch and release" policy if you avoiding bacteria and chemical pollutants…none of which Texas or Rockport officials openly address. Ask about the bacterial count at "little bay" or Rockport Beach.

MISP is the best place to fish there because of Pringle Lake (not far).

    Where : Port O’Connor, Texas.
    You get it!
