The point of fishing is not just to catch fish……it’s bunking off work.
Vids are great to see other styles of fishing. Thanks for the vid.

On your 5wt / 6wt opst head set up , do you use the lazor line running line ? And your pound you prefer ?

  5. sdpy on December 8, 2019 at 4:31 pm

I need to figure out a good shooting head for an 8wt 9ft singlehand rod I bought a while back. Thinking of learning false-spey for some bushed in rivers up here in BC. Cant stand the double-hand rods. 😛

Great video – very informative! Definitely want to see videos of trips, regardless of outcome. That’s real fishing and you always learn something from every adventure. Thanks for sharing!

Next time you would be better off saying your sponsored/paid promotion by loop at the start of the video for legal reasons and You tubes ToS. My experience with loop rods has been horrible know where near as good as sage.

  13. Tobias Honkanen on December 8, 2019 at 4:43 pm

like al of your videos it´s nice too tie some flies at the same time.. the gear looks very nice but way over my budget 😀 i have to tie a lot of flies and sell to gett near that 😀

  14. Sam Black on December 8, 2019 at 4:46 pm

Hey mate. I noticed you use all loop gear. Do you hold loop above the likes of sage and Scott? Iam looking to upgrade my gear but if im spending $1000 plus on a rod i want to make sure im getting the best value for money. Any info would be appreciated.

    Cheers dude

Mean! Love the videos! Keep it up. Could you show us how it’s done rip fishing? Have tried the Kuratau rip a few times. Wondering if swinging the rip would produce??? Chur

do you use other bands other than loop? I currently have a Sage vantage 6wt rod just wondering what you think of sage rods and how they compare to loop? awesome videos btw, would love to come for a fish one day 🙂

  30. Manu Et fish on December 8, 2019 at 5:11 pm

encore une très belle vidéo bravo à toi bonne journée

  31. Ladder Goat on December 8, 2019 at 5:12 pm

Mate I’ve always been thoroughly impressed by your videos, keep them coming fish or no fish. What would be great to see is if you can include a little bit of history, perhaps about some waterways (without giving away your fishing spots obviously), the area, even trout fishing in general.

  32. jlush444 on December 8, 2019 at 5:15 pm

    Sweet Gareth.
The little pad will be. A great option for travelling fishos.
One day mate, id love to do an NZ week and include at least a day or two learning from your sweet skills.
Are your rates on your website?
    👍peace.

Do you use a vest or a sling and wich ones

  34. Silverm9r on December 8, 2019 at 5:22 pm

Love the vids dude, keep it up. Have one question, all the rods are 9 ft if I didn’t miss anything except of course for the switch rod, is there a reason why you don’t have a 10 ft rod for nymphing. It’s big over here in NA, less arm fatigue, easier casting more distance etc. I know here on the tighter, bushier streams a longer rod can be a pain rather than an advantage but otherwise much more effective. Try a 10 ft 3 or 4 wt you may never pick up those 5 wt again. And a 175 gr commando on a 3 or 4 wt is money dude! The most fun you can have with your clothes on lol!
