We spent our 62nd week of full time travel finding free camping all across Texas. Texas is known for being scarce on camping spots, and because it is so big, that tends to be a problem for nomads.
In this video you’ll see us hang out with some family in North East Texas, talking about some free camping and Boondocking in that area, and then heading west.
We take you to 4 awesome boondocking spots in Texas as we travel from the north east corner of Texas to the southwest near Big Bend.
I hope this helps you explore my beautiful home state through my eyes. As always thank you all for supporting us and following along. Be sure to hit that subscribe button!

Please hit that thumbs up, and subscribe to our channel. I’ll be looking for your comments below. We love hearing what you think and what you would like to see in the future!

Always good to avoid the Interstate if you have the time. I drove to visit family in the DFW area and only used the Interstate when I got into the Metroplex to avoid all the traffic lights.

The army corps of engineers does a nice job with their campgrounds. Here in Pennsylvania, Seven Points at Lake Raystown is a good ACE camping. Fees are reasonable or they were last time I was there anyway. Hot showers.

You can stay for free on the backside of Lake Murray if you’re traveling North up I-35 thru Oklahoma, go to the unimproved area of the Eastside, it is so nice and there is free showers in the bathrooms and if your feeling wealthy you can spend a nite in the full hookups in on of the many really nice camping areas or the Resort.

I have a video idea for you… You can each describe the geography of your beloved Texas and Alabama and explain what’s where in each state and what to expect, and best stuff to see and do in each region of the states. Texas might take 2 episodes!
