Rob called 1Rod to come back into the fold because the boys have the Midwest and West and Texas covered, but 1Rod is east coast he lives 10 minutes from me in Maryland and he does FISH. He only Fishes, he doesn’t click bait like flair, he’s goofy and raw and fishes everyday , that’s why. For fishing content and his Million viewers and to branch out to the East coast. Plus 1Rod could’ve sued them at any minute as he was in fact the guy WHO DUBBED THEM THE GOOGAN SQUAD

If Googans leave Favorite rods …. I’m cutting my Favorite rods in 8 inch pieces and stick it in my butt.
Id be willing to bet theyre not gonna partner with anyone. Theyre going to make their own brand of rods. It seems theyre big enough to go that direction. I bet the research and testing purposes rob was doing was to see what components they liked and to possibly rip off other companies like they did to 6th sense with their hard baits.

I was in the Tackle industry for 35 years and this was going on when I started and when I quit.
I think they are a bunch of whiney girl’s. Just got through watching Weston’s video about no longer using favorite Rod’s.
I will always keep my rigged phantom. But I use KastKing gear and last year I switched my rods to them also. Favorite makes great rods. KastKing was just a personal choice for me.
You said you dont care but took 15 minutes of our time to tell us what you think happened. Seems like you’re just name dropping Googan in a title for views honestly.
I love all these liitle youtube “ fishermen “ sucking up to the googans wanting in with them and trashing on favorite hard the last month on here. Its just sad. I’ve never own anything favorite, but seeing how these idiots turn on each other because they think they are big enough to stand alone and say fuck you almost.
I could care less about what the Googans or any you tubers use, I’ll still use favorite rods.
St. Croix and Dobyns Rods are my goto. For reels, it’s all about Daiwa Tatula. The 100 series from 2015 is the best. I don’t have any of the newer versions from 2016-2019.
There are few people in different industries I listen to for product advice. Almost none of them are partnered or sponsored by the products they recommend. Celebrity endorsements are almost always about the kick back and not the product.
Theres way better rods out there then that made in china crap from favorite. Gloomis, St croix, shimano, doybns and plenty more are way better. What the googans do or use dont affect me at all there just chasing money.
Was not cool how they pushed those rods so hard. Then dumped them and didn’t say a word to they’re supporters. Kinda messed up!
I only have one Favorite rod. Most of my rods are Dobyns and Lews, just like them better.
I’m not buying a rod because someone or a group pitch them – I want to see results, but more importantly, I’ll buy what I can afford, and which rods work best for me. Comfort, balance, weight, build quality matter. I really like Abu Garcia and Okuma rods, along with G Loomis, Lamiglas and St Croix. Each make great rods for me, each make dogs for me. The Googan rods, if they ever hit my local stores, will get the wiggle & jiggle test, but if the quality, balance, price, or actions are off, they can stay on the shelf.
i looked at favorite rods and won’t spend that much on a youtubers rod. was able to get a couple scott martin okuma rods before he moved to favorite . but I’ve used quantum ,abu,bass pro rods butt lately I’ve been using kastking rods n reels , more affordable for me and I’ve had no issues

I fish with whatever I can afford. $100+ rods and reels are a little out of my budget.
Aren’t Googan baits under the Catch Co. brand? I know Scott Martin helped design at least 1 of the soft plastics but I didn’t think he had a major stake in Googan Baits.
Yes sir I will Buy Favorite Rods . I buy what I like not what someone pushes because they get them free or at a low cost.

I am influenced by products that certain pros use but I’m not stuck on one particular brand . I like and use Dobyns, have and love a few American made all stars, st croix and am now trying out some diawas . I am stuck on Lews reels and not likely to use anything else. If I ever switch reels it will probably be diawa that would get my money .
Never owned or considered a favorite rod. Never owned or considered a googan bait. Never cared what the googans use or what any pro uses. I work hard for my money and buy quality no reason to chase the bandwagon.
The Googans run 0 to 100 on everything! They are all in or all out of things.
I started using favorite bcuz of the googan squad but then I noticed how good the rods where & I will not stop using favorite rods bcuz they stopped I’m gonna keep using & buying favorite products..
Favorite rods feel super cheap, and so does Googan baits. Their plastics can’t last more than 1 fish

I have 2 Favorite rods out of 10 and I’m very happy with them. and at the end all this noise on you tube … it’s just about … money … and this is sad.
Maybe kids and new anglers will finally invest in quality rods and reels thatll last. Im brand loyal but I also go out of my way to try out rods before talking about them. Favorite was never going to last because they were created by amateur fishermen (besides LFG. very knowledgeable in fishing).

Over the last couple years I purchased two Favorite rods strictly because they looked nice and were with Googan , I returned both within 24 hours. Instead I got a Shimano Expride and a Dobyns Fury, as I had got a Defender and an Emperor.
They lacked good feeling, lacked sensitivity , everything from grass to trash to small fish at times felt like a wet sock on the end. Especially the defender, it really upset me, I had a 7’3 MH defender I think, and compared it to my 13 fishing 7’4 H , and the 13 fishing was far more sensitive and I did not buy it for sensitivity lol favorite feels cheap and I been saying this for two years.

I will never understand why anyone cares what rod the Goober squad uses or doesn’t. Ppl tell me, "Oh, you’re just not into drama…" well actually I am but, I have to care about the characters involved or the matter at hand in some way or it’s not "drama" it’s just noise.
If it’s not made by Mitchell, Lew’s, or Abu Garcia (reel wise), I won’t buy it, PERIOD!!!

I’d definitely still use the rods. Best rods I’ve ever used. The ones that sold me to favorite was Scott Martin and Brian Latimer
The googan rods are off the market. They’re not at my wal mart or on Amazon.
Favorite is garbage. No customer service or ethics. Still waiting on my e-mail
