Come along on a hike at Hill Country State Natural Area in Bandera, Texas! Along this hike, we were lucky enough to have a nice long encounter with an armadillo who was completely unaware as he dug around.

Just a short drive away from San Antonio and Austin, Hill Country State Natural Area is home to some of the best hiking that the Texas Hill Country has to offer. With over 40 miles of trails to explore, you’ll have lots of room to yourself to enjoy the rugged beauty of the rocky, hilly terrain. Though the rocks and elevation changes will definitely leave you worn out at the end of your hike, Hill Country State Natural Area is a great park for all ages and many activity levels.

    Did the overlook trail last year and it was quite nice. No one was there which made it even better. Looks like I’m the 1st sub…I have a channel as well, feel free to check it out.
