How To Free Camp in the USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ! Van Life America

We free camp 99% of the time, largely because it helps our budget but also because you couldn’t pay to stay in half if the places we’ve camped in!

There’s also not much chance of seeing the things we see whilst free camping, whether that’s amazing nature or completely random stuff.

This maybe a funny question but how do you transport your van from country to country? im thinking if you built the van in the UK how did you get it to the US? Transporting it across the sea must have cost alot of money?

  6. Justin Denton on May 7, 2020 at 3:43 pm

  7. Green_Pirate on May 7, 2020 at 3:43 pm

Beautiful video but wouldn’t really call this a "How to".

  8. Norsefalconer on May 7, 2020 at 3:44 pm

People, even Americans, don’t typically realize the immensity of the United States. The coasts are mostly "bought up," but in between, the BLM has an enormous amount of acreage. Glad you are enjoying your travels here, welcome.

I wish you good health and happiness and keep on making those memories. This is Ivana from Blue Mountains Ontario Canada ๐Ÿ™‹โค๏ธ

just fyi, moose are very territorial and quite aggressive, it is recommended you keep your distance at all times and try and keep a tree or other object between you. If their ears sweep back and downwards, look out and back off, as that is a sign of anger and imminent aggression. they are considered a public safety issue in Canada. source: is a Canadian resident.

So….what is the trick to camping for free? ๐Ÿ™‚

  34. The Indie Projects on May 7, 2020 at 4:19 pm

The USA is one of the easiest places to Free Camp out of the twenty something countries weโ€™ve travelled through in a van! And theyโ€™re not just free, but theyโ€™re flipping epic ๐Ÿ˜

  35. Grace Cantle on May 7, 2020 at 4:19 pm

I can find where in the video you actually tell us how you accomplish free camping in the US….?

  36. Igor Schmidlapp on May 7, 2020 at 4:19 pm

When walking like that, always be BEAR-AWARE! Either carry bear repellent (super concentrated pepper spray specifically labelled for bears), or a gun.

  37. Peter Dods on May 7, 2020 at 4:20 pm

Can you tell me more about the first camp spot you dispersed camped in on this video?

  38. Bus Life NZ - The Cleverley Hillbilly on May 7, 2020 at 4:20 pm

Super Jello guys! We’ll be there in a few weeks!

  39. Bretzky on May 7, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Where can I buy that fold out side table for my build?

  40. CrankyBubushka on May 7, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Awesome. We went there last year in our camper van. How did you guys handle the altitude?? I had a tough time with being short of breath etc.

  41. Marilyn Wisbey on May 7, 2020 at 4:22 pm

Looks a beautiful .. place.. ๐Ÿ‘overcast here.. cooler, was raining a bit for two days! โ˜”๏ธ loved it.. warm shower! Lol .

  42. Simon Doran on May 7, 2020 at 4:23 pm

Aww so stunningly beautiful! Looks like a perfect place to explore by van and the number of amazing spots you could stay for the night! Seriously tempting!! Well done you two, very inspirational stuff!

  43. mad davvid on May 7, 2020 at 4:24 pm

Don’t you just love beaver ?

  44. Darren Jones on May 7, 2020 at 4:24 pm

Guys fantastic as ever can your films get anymore epic, now to the Revel van, how long is the Winnie? Now I like the traditional rock and roll side kitchen layout, and I like the rear lounge layout, problem is I would need the dog to be safe secure and comfortable both traveling and camping (taking uk/European weather into account) so Iโ€™m thinking of the rock and roll layout on a sprinter or ducato, problem is itโ€™s quite hard to find the shorter vans to view and get an idea i they would be big enough with bed in use ie need some free floor space for the dog at night

  45. Fergal Clohessy on May 7, 2020 at 4:27 pm

It was interesting.. until I saw the veggie bacon

  46. Frederico Videos on May 7, 2020 at 4:27 pm

  47. Muhammad Mujahideen on May 7, 2020 at 4:30 pm
