Day 2 of our backpack Arizona Coues deer hunt! We do a lot of glassing trying to locate an elusive Coues buck. At last light, we find a nice buck for Jordan to take a shot at.

I came here for the entertainment and viewing of the hunt and left with all the knowledge the Youtube pros had to offer in the comments! Lol you guys are something else. Keep after them Hushin! Hunting is hunting and there’s not always a bloodtrail and gut pile at the end of the hunt. Appreciate the fact you guys show the real deal and face the critics head on.

  2. Nick Martinez on June 5, 2020 at 5:20 pm

Missed shots happen. At least the animal wasn’t wounded and it was a clean miss. Keep hunting hard. Also what is your tripod setup? Head, bino adapter and spotter adapter?

  3. Patrick Bauman on June 5, 2020 at 5:20 pm

Jordan has that range. Just missed this one. It happens. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the hunt unfolds! Keep up the good work!

  4. Blaine Fitzgerald on June 5, 2020 at 5:23 pm

Some days are diamonds and some days are stone . Don’t rush the shot brotha. You’ll get it done. Enjoy what Az had to offer and keep at it.

  5. Banded Antler on June 5, 2020 at 5:25 pm

Like how you are wearing each others hats!

  6. Montanahunter 88 on June 5, 2020 at 5:27 pm

Normally I like the videos. But just because you buy a leupold with a dial doesn’t mean your a crack shot. Jeez. That wasn’t even close

  7. Michael Howard on June 5, 2020 at 5:28 pm

I think it is interesting how "holier than thou" the comments have been on this video. As if none have you have rushed a shot, made a bad shot, had a scope off, wounded an animal, failed to recover an animal, failed to prepare, shot at last light, etc. I suppose we do this on social media because we want to interact with our entertainment. I also think anonymity has something to do with it. Regardless, comments like this encourage editing or a decision to not post the film–and I don’t think the majority of us would prefer that alternative. Hunting is declining in numbers and we–hunters–need to encourage each other, build each other up and encourage more to try it. The alternative means a bad shot is the least of our worries. Lets work together and not tear each other apart.
Shake it off Harbertson and keep pushing. Hard work pays off.

sun at your back for the first hour of light in the morning, the rest of the day glass with the sun in your face into those north facing shady slops.

  9. Noeau Lindsey on June 5, 2020 at 5:29 pm

Glad you guys are showing REAL footage….Not everything goes as planned, sometimes we dont make the shot. You guys show it knowing you risk getting blasted by the comment section Judge Judys…..I love the content…keep doing what you’re doing! ALOHA FROM HAWAII!!!🤙🤙

  10. todd carter on June 5, 2020 at 5:32 pm

another unethical act by Eric and company.

  11. Jarod Chronister on June 5, 2020 at 5:34 pm

I see a lot of negativity in comments. I live in Arizona and hunt comes every year and have made what people would consider stupid long shots. 700 yards may seem very far for some people, however if you practice at distance, it’s not a crazy shot. The area we typically hunt offers no shot under 400 yards. Quite often we glass deer at 1000 yard or more but can not stalk in quick enough due to terrain. Anytime we can close the distance we do, however if conditions are favorable we will take shots and have at 700+ yards. We took a large 3×3 a few years ago at 800 yards and took us 6 hours to pack it out. We could not realistically close the distance on this deer. Horrible shots can be made at even 200 yards, I’ve seen it. My advice, practice for what you will realistically shoot at, this cuts the margin of error down drastically.

  12. Adrian Hillin on June 5, 2020 at 5:34 pm

So why take the shot if you know your not planked out

  13. Clay Morgan on June 5, 2020 at 5:37 pm

Wtf was that shot ? Wasn’t even close why would you take an unethical shot we are supposed to be stewards of good ethical hunting very disappointed in this video

  14. cfladrow on June 5, 2020 at 5:39 pm

I remember when our hunting and stalking skills were a point of pride, the animal deserves better than that shot.

  15. Cory Ross on June 5, 2020 at 5:39 pm

I hope you took time to confirm your scope after that shot. Things can get bumped and knocked on hunts. I ended up shooting my Wyoming buck this year with a borrowed gun due to a bottom metal bolt becoming MIA. It happens and I have learned to take some test shots prior to climbing the mountain – hard to do on a pack in hunt. It looked like there was no wind to cause that big of drift. I would bet the gun had a problem.

  16. xterraman04 on June 5, 2020 at 5:40 pm

Eric your a hell of a guy but please cut that hair off bro.

  17. SoCalGunner on June 5, 2020 at 5:44 pm

Casey needs a bipod buddy. I’ve been using it for years for those long distance shots.

  18. JB on June 5, 2020 at 5:44 pm

the ol’ long range pot shot! 😢

  19. rusty wells on June 5, 2020 at 5:46 pm

🤔🤔 was it the support ??

Or all the morning tears in the eyes ??

Started getting hungry for cheese. 😉🤣🤣😂🤣😂

  20. Christopher Benfield on June 5, 2020 at 5:46 pm

Jordan….bud put a scope level on that very expensive rifle. Yo most likely missed due to not having the reticle centered over the bore.

  21. Luis Hernandez on June 5, 2020 at 5:47 pm

When he said 750 and said i can make that….. Yea…….

  22. J S on June 5, 2020 at 5:47 pm

This is the kind of shit that gives hunters a bad name.

  25. WhiskeyBent Beard on June 5, 2020 at 5:51 pm

@MTN OPS, what happened to the dehydrated meals you were working on?

  26. Jr Burge on June 5, 2020 at 5:52 pm

    What exactly is "planked out?"

  27. Sspidy Ssenses on June 5, 2020 at 5:53 pm

That trigger should never be pulled unless you’re 100% on that shot…and even with that 100% feel sometimes you’d even get a bad shot! There is absolutely no excuse for that shot.

  28. James Coulter on June 5, 2020 at 5:53 pm

Wrote off HUSH long ago for their unethical hunting but heard tales of this episode so just had to witness it for myself.  I must say that was one of most disgusting displays of ethics I’ve seen…even for HUSH.  HUSH’s new motto outta be "there is no shot we won’t take".  You guys are a horrible example for young hunters and should be ashamed of yourselves.  Would bet Jordan couldn’t hit a VW Bug at the range from that distance let alone a Coues Deer vitals out in the field.

  29. Nate H on June 5, 2020 at 5:54 pm

    What a horrible shot haha

  30. Mr Yang on June 5, 2020 at 5:54 pm

    Are u huntin with FloridaGeorgiaLine ? 😃😃

  31. Alex Ybarra on June 5, 2020 at 5:58 pm

Not cool risky shot unethical choice if u run out of daylight let it go find him tomorrow get closer ?

  32. Zach Green on June 5, 2020 at 5:58 pm

    Looked like a nice buck

  33. Mike Carter on June 5, 2020 at 5:59 pm

Forget the lecture on shooting, (planked out)… Hushin should dissociate from this kind of behavior in the hunt!

  34. Kico Gonzales on June 5, 2020 at 5:59 pm

    Gota love them grey ghost

  35. deerlover sheridan on June 5, 2020 at 6:01 pm

Only missed by ten feet? Planked out would not of helped imo.

  36. Thetinebroken on June 5, 2020 at 6:01 pm

Does anybody here know the difference in drop and drift from 500 yds vs 750

Wow that you decided to include that footage
WOW you decided to try that shot.

    Jordan is IDK

  37. Rowdy Broomstick on June 5, 2020 at 6:03 pm

I haven’t even watched the video yet , but I can tell you this you don’t know until you try, is what my dad always said to me when hunting and I’m so glad I’ve always tried
Because it has resulted in many successful hunting trips where it was thought that we we’re defeated

  38. Ruben Vasquez on June 5, 2020 at 6:03 pm

Hey at least you guys are seeing them and letting bullets fly there is people who can’t see them at all

  39. thegoodlife NE on June 5, 2020 at 6:03 pm

I used to like the hush channel but after watching Bmac wound 2 deer last year and never recover and Eric taking a bad shot on that Elk this year and wounding him and having to watch him suffer I stopped watching for awhile. Thought I would watch the coues series and now nope I’m out again kinda seems typical of Hush now just for content but I hope I’m wrong

  40. konner lee on June 5, 2020 at 6:04 pm

Clearly none of these people have hunted Coues deer before that’s about as good of a shot as you’ll ever get. Good call guys I’d take that shot all day long.

  41. dubgrug89 on June 5, 2020 at 6:04 pm

Disappointed in the negativity and condemnation. "Let he who has never missed, write the first insulting comment." – Jesus, basically

  42. Manuel Berga on June 5, 2020 at 6:05 pm

What is it the location be finding shed to the deer ? I am italian 😂!english lenguages is difficult ! I am deer hunter ! I ma twelve years old 😅!

  43. Melvin Dunn on June 5, 2020 at 6:07 pm

Poke and hope. Not the way I expect from either.

  44. Jack Michl on June 5, 2020 at 6:08 pm

I loved how you could see the bullet

  45. rich miller on June 5, 2020 at 6:08 pm

what mountains are you guys in?

  46. Tymannosourus on June 5, 2020 at 6:08 pm

Applaud you guys for showing the miss. Nevermind the heroes below who’ve never taken a bad shot in their lives.

  47. Ken Wiltsie on June 5, 2020 at 6:09 pm

What kind of rifle does Jordan have?

  48. CHASING GIANTS on June 5, 2020 at 6:10 pm

WHAT is that MTNOPS you keep talking about LOL. Love watching EC and Jordo Hunt. Great series, im loving the country And fuck it yeah take the shot Jordo. it’s your Hunt. If people don’t like it they don’t have to watch it.

  49. Tige A on June 5, 2020 at 6:10 pm

Let’s flinch and jerk that trigger again. Don’t believe ballistic charts, put it on paper. Hey I respect that Eric did not edit that out. I’d like to have that rifle!!! With time shooting and understanding western thermals that’s a chip shot.

  50. Mike Ponti on June 5, 2020 at 6:12 pm
