"Thank you Mr. Bison, thank you thank you."
Made me tear up a little. I’m not one for hunting, but the way you respected that bison made me happy.
I know a lot of hunters and work at a sporting goods hunting shop. The many people who claim to respect animals do the exact opposite.
Thank you for respecting the animal. Bisons truly are magnificent creatures.

  13. Peter Heinz on July 19, 2020 at 8:55 pm

“That’s not a hunt..” (waiting at the boundary).
Then why were you waiting at the boundary to begin with? Your excuse for being too scared to shoot one in front of the animal lovers? I would have dumped a bull right there no questions asked and you would have too if you weren’t afraid of your audience. Stop pretending you didn’t want to nuke one right there otherwise you wouldn’t have been there.

In the game a lung shot is a kill shot they will run, but they dont go far. And a heart shot is an instant kill shot.

I didn’t think there were any free range Bison. I say leave them alone and let the here build. I didn’t think there were any documented cases of bison giving brucellosis to cattle, just the opposite actually. This surprised me and I would love to know your source. Now, I do know that feral pigs can carry brucellosis so if there is an outbreak of it I’d look at if there’s any in the area. I’d rather eat bison than cattle any day of the week.

You’re good guy for not shooting the Buffalo right outside the boundary line

  20. Albino White on July 19, 2020 at 9:01 pm

Im only here because of HUNTER: CALL OF THE WILD

it took 6 rounds from a m1 garand and still charged me, then took 3 more 357. And that finally killed it…

I wanted to know it they would be this difficult to kill irl

  21. RuffDale Bullies on July 19, 2020 at 9:03 pm

“Wont shoot bison in front of 3 people”

*uploads the hunt on YouTube for 100s of thousands to see*

  22. Levi Garchar on July 19, 2020 at 9:05 pm

Curious animals I see. Funny how the camera man was put on bison herding duty while they was butchering it ha ha. Tells you how hard hunted they are. No wonder they was so easy to kill in the old days.

  23. George-019 on July 19, 2020 at 9:08 pm

Hunting bison is like hunting in red dead they just fine w you being there

  24. Dan Kirslis on July 19, 2020 at 9:10 pm

The top 5 animals I wish to hunt are the bison, black bear, alligator, moose and African buffalo.

  25. HighlyQuestionable on July 19, 2020 at 9:10 pm

  26. birder4life on July 19, 2020 at 9:13 pm

I live in northern Colorado and since you filmed this we have had an introduction of bison in my county right on the Wyoming border (12 bison Were brought down from Yellowstone) that has grown faster than expected and is already in the triple digits and close to if not over carrying capacity for the public land, hopefully they will get spread to even more of the state and eventually we will have tags for them

  27. fed up on July 19, 2020 at 9:13 pm

  30. Weißer Wolf on July 19, 2020 at 9:17 pm

ALL* cattle are immunized against diseases that can be transmitted from Bison. Its just the Ranchers dont want Bison using the same lands as the Ranchers cattle. So that argument is a Con used as a way to manipulated voters.

*if a cow/bull isnt immunized its on the rancher for not doing it…at least in Montana.

Don’t make your hunts a political statement. Just share the joy of hunting with your fellow hunters.

  49. Tom Kearns on July 19, 2020 at 9:34 pm

As a hunter and a raiser of domestic buffalo, I appreciate your message of conservation and scientific management of buffalo rather than the political mismanagement of existing wild herds. Please contact me if you are aware of any organizations that can improve the range of these animals so I can lend a small hand. Buffalo have light feet on the ground and improve any range they are allowed to naturally graze.

I know there is extreme controversy about transmission of brucellosis from buffalo to cattle. I’m not aware of any scientific studies that show buffalo actually have this disease. I am aware that NPS studies have shown the vector of brucellosis to cattle through wild animals is via ELK not Buffalo.

You present the best portrait of a intelligent hunter who knows how to protect wildlife. Every live in this world must make a living. For bison, their living is to sacrifice a small number of animals to allow the herd to grow.

PS I hope you enjoyed the meat . There is done better.
