Kayaking Cadron Creek, Arkansas – US Hwy 65 to SH 285 at 5.8 feet
An afternoon kayaking trip from US Hwy 65 to SH 285 on Cadron Creek in central Arkansas. Creek level was at 5.8 feet (Guy, AR gauge) on Sunday, March 29th, 2020 (~2:30 PM put in @ 73 degrees).
If you’re considering this float you’ll want to make sure the water level is at least 2.5 feet to avoid significant amounts of dragging.
Unfortunately once again my GoPro hero 7 battery didn’t hold out for the entire trip but it did get the majority of the float. I wasn’t super excited about the 2 second interval time lapse mode used for this video but I’ll get it figured out eventually. I’ll probably try .5 or 1 second intervals next time to see if the result is any better.
