Kayaking the Guadalupe River from Nichols Landing, One of the Best Stretches of River in Texas
If you enjoy kayaking or floating down the river, the Guadalupe River is paradise. The stretch of river we travel down in this video is classic Texas Hill Country.

Where is that spot with the pools and cascading water?
Looks prety calm
Love your videos, but I have to ask HOW THE HECK DO YOU HAVE SO MUCH FREE TIME MY BROTHER??? Rock on!!!
Great video, if it was a one way 4 mile ride how do you get back with your kayak to your car. I love your videos and just found your channel. I’m definitely motavated to get out and try kayaking but I have a lot of basic questions like the one I asked. Thanks
I love that place!!!
Thanks for sharing. Loved flowing with the river. Planning to cover a canoe trip in Delaware river here soon.
IS that one too rough for paddle boarding?
Really beautiful, you know the closest i’ve been to a kayak lately is when one fell of the car in front of me and they didn’t stop no matter what I did (they just drove faster!!)
Awesome! I plan to do that same trip. About the only thing you were missing was a fishing pole.
Some of the biggest Cypress trees I have seen are on the Sabinal River in Utopia, Texas. Love the scenery on this video.
🙂
Really cool find! Do you by chance know if there’s any danger of gators in that area?
That was fun! Beautiful scenery. Thanks for taking us along. Continued safe travels.
So jealous! I love the Guadalupe river but have never kayaked it…..only tubed down it. Great video and look forward to the others!
Do you happen to remember about how much cfm the river was flowing on this trip?
Thnxs
I’ve lived on the shore of Canyon Lake for 8 years and never knew where Spring Branch, TX got its’ name. Now I know thanks to you. Thank You! A great video I enjoyed it.
How long did it take to do the 4 miles? I assume around an hour if you’re pushing, and 1.5 hours taking your time?
What kind of camera are you using? The videos are very good!
OK, I’ve lived in Texas all my life (73 years) and am familiar with a lot of the places you go (but still enjoy your videos) and really enjoy new places that I’ve never heard of such as Devil River around Del Rio. SO, who are you? Do you live in Texas? Are you FROM Texas? What got you interested in traveling Texas? Us old farts are just naturally nosey!! THX and keep up the good work!
The kayaking looks fun!
Best part about the Guadalupe, its COLD water and its clear in most places
At what part will the new sewage treatment run off be dumped into the river?
Cool. Does Texas issue out KUIs?
Where do you start to see alligators ?
