Lets Go Places prt 23 – Arizona, The Sonoran Desert – USA Travel

Spectacular and if you love heat, the summer will please you. The Western United States has so much to offer and Arizona is full of surprises.

The Sonoran Desert is a North American desert which covers large parts of the Southwestern United States in Arizona and California, and of Northwestern Mexico in Sonora, Baja California and Baja California Sur. It is the hottest desert in North America, with an area of 280,000 square kilometers (110,000 sq mi). The western portion of the United States–Mexico border passes through the Sonoran Desert.
The largest city in the Sonoran Desert is Phoenix, Arizona, with a 2013 metropolitan population of about 4.3 million.
Humans have been living in this desert for thousands of years.
The Sonoran Desert is home to the cultures of over seventeen contemporary Native American tribes, some of those tribes are Pascua Yaqui (Yoeme), Seri, Tohono O’odham, Gila River Indian Community, and the Cocopah.

The terrain is incredible unlike rainy boring England, I just think deserts are so underrated and many take there landscape for granted

It would be unwise to pull an RV4 into the desert landscape! Protect the landscape.

1:13 " Gila Monsters" is pronounced Hee’ la. In Spanish, the G is silent, and the I is pronounced ee (double-E). Also, word to the wise, ll (double-L) as in Cholla, is pronounced like a Y, as in Choya, Choi’ ya. If you see the road name, La Canada, it is not pronounced like the North American country of Canada, but Con yad’ ah.

Lots of Mexicans have to walk 4 or 5 days trying to walk cross the Sonoran Desert when they cross US border illegally and end up dying out there every year because of the harsh temperatures and lack of water.

Just I love American deserts (and whole America 🇺🇸). I’d love to make a trip in the deserts especially in New Mexico & Arizona. Greetings and big love to the US from Europe! 🇬🇪
