Llano, TX – Family Rock Hunting Trip 2019

Llano, TX – Family Rock Hunting Trip 2019

This family loves to collect rocks! We recently took a trip to Llano, TX, to check out some of the well known rock hunting locations. This is primarily the river bed running through town and the Llanite outcrop on TX-16. I walk you through where the sites are, getting there, access points, and show off what we collected!

If you’re interesting in Rock Tumbling – be sure to check out my Weekly series “Rock Tumbling Weekly” for a review of all my current Rock Tumbling projects! I have a playlist titled Rock Tumbling for easy access to all of those videos!

You might want to look into getting a Falcon 2o metal detector. It is designed in finding gold deep inside rocks. Enjoyed your video

Is there a good place you can go around there that is not around a riverbed?

I’ve been trying to research spots around killeen and types of stuff to look for and this video was the first helpful resource I’ve found so far. I’m going in July 2021 to visit family
