Mexican cartels engage in firefight miles from Texas border | Rush Hour

Rival drug cartels recently engaged in a firefight just miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, using truck-mounted .50-caliber machine guns in a battle over smuggling routes. Lt. Christopher Olivarez with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the cartels continue to pose a threat to U.S. law enforcement personnel.

  2. Knock it Down on April 10, 2023 at 9:20 pm

We can’t start a war in Mexico by citizens committing crime. If Mexico doesn’t handle this, US will sanction something that’ll last 1 week 😂😂😂😂

  3. A H on April 10, 2023 at 9:21 pm

And where do the weapons of the cartels come from??? Exactly, from the US

If you want to declare war on the cartels, on Mexican soil, first stop arms trafficking from the US.
And stop placing all the blame on the Mexican authorities, that the American ones are equally or worse corrupted, with the difference that they do very well to go unnoticed (propaganda and control of the news, as well as "freedom" of expression )

  4. Semper Paratus on April 10, 2023 at 9:23 pm

Look. Mexico has the Mexican Army fighting the cartels and they still can’t win. What makes you think the U.S. National Guard will be any better? Cartels isn’t some crack head from Alabama with a pocket 380 caliber pistol. These are highly trained, highly organized, nationally terrifying criminals that are always on the FBI most wanted lists. Like cutting peoples heads off in the middle of intersections. Quite literally boiling bodies in warehouses. They have literally and still today slaughter entire families over night. They have armored vehicles, armored equipment on their bodies, they have high powered rifles, and have been trained to kill. Id rather shake hands with a terrorist from Afghanistan than to even stand 10 feet away from a cartel.

  9. Vidal Cortez on April 10, 2023 at 9:35 pm

Why don’t they bomb them with the Air Force jets or helicopters put pressure on the cartel & if Mexican government get mad well then let’s go to war because the Mexican government works with the cartel, instead of sending all these billions to “Ukraine “America should be sending that money to border & get ready for arm the American soldiers to start fighting Mexico

US govt is definitely funding these cartels.

  18. InnocentG on April 10, 2023 at 9:42 pm

The only reason why the US will never label the Mexican cartels as terrorist groups is for the simple fact that they will then have to open our borders to the Mexican public for a place of refuge. Our country will get flooded through the border with Mexican refugees… & that’s fax.

  21. Aaron• Highcloud on April 10, 2023 at 9:43 pm

The US side of the border should have guided rockets to shoot these gunmen who shoot at the US like this lol..just exchange fire with them keep them busy while the rocket fires off and hits them…that should stop them from attacking and think twice before taking on the US lol kinda says to me that this the cartel is testing the strength of the border or something..like how much firepower they have or something or the response

Seems like the drone is the worst invention to come about. But also, of value to military, police and armed organizations. Drones have been around since the 80s but obviously, now, it’s just a lot smaller. I don’t doubt that the tech is already made for military to remotely jam unidentified drones in the sky.

  27. John J on April 10, 2023 at 9:48 pm

  45. Frank Rizzo on April 10, 2023 at 10:05 pm

There are not political organizations there are criminal that is why they cannot be labeled terrorist. Great idea put pressure on Mexico so they ignore us. Here is some advice that will solve the problem. Stop the demand be attractive if you understand the basics of a capitalist system it is supply and demand. The way to get rid of supply is by getting rid of demand. Now let’s talk about our failed dug policy. If tge dea, at, and failed had stayed out of Mexico we eou, would, not have this problem. Each time they take another cartel boss they get three more and 5 times more violent. If the plaza system from the late 70s had been left in place there would be a few men doing business selling drugs. Instead we have splintered cell fight awars and sell drugs. These idiot have made the bed and now we have to sleep in it. The best thing would probably be for the government to start selling drugs take the profit out if znc offer rehab to those that want it. I am sure a lot of people will die but you need highway marks so you do take a wrong turn. It would completely remove tge funding for our gang problem and Mexico narco probkem

  46. Frankie Desam on April 10, 2023 at 10:06 pm

Nothing will ever happen and the US will never fight with them because the Mexican government and the US government is making so much money off of them

As a Mexican the US can declare war to these cartels in Mexico, But as long as they don’ t use that as an excuse to invade Mexico, Cuz we’re tired of the cartels too

  50. nate mcclain on April 10, 2023 at 10:13 pm

Honestly, American government has no room to be complaining. They have the tools they have the resources they can kill cartel I don’t understand what’s going on here unless the US government is a part of the cartel that’s what I’m thinking that’s what I accuse American government of their part of the cartel. That’s just my personal opinion.
