If you are interested of foreign movies (with English subtitle of course) I may be able to get you some Swedish, *for free* (and Norwegian/Danish) horror movies. And if I’m not mistaken you do have a region free dvd player?!

The thumbnail gave me some "Network Video" vibes. And since you brought up what my favorite video store was as a kid, Network Video was my jam. They used to have a lot different movies, even old black and white ones. One set movies I loved to rent were the "Ernest" movies, those were the movies I always had the biggest laughs with when I was a kid. Great video, I hope that Store gets more recognition due to this video, Video Rental Stores that still run are really rare. 🙂

BTW, I just got "Bulletproof Monk" on Blu-ray a few weeks ago at "Dollar Tree" and "The Best of Where On Earth is Carmen Sandiego?" I got at 99 Cent Only Store last year! Only have the DVD of "The November Man" but I’ve yet to find it on Blu-ray at some stores.

My video store growing up as a kid was called Video Center. I used to ride my bike down there on a regular basis to rent movies. The owner used to hold movies just for me because i was his most valuable and favorite customer! Good times!!

Back in the day went it was the thing to rent from the store In the Uk use to go to Hollywood video (not sure if it was the same chain as us stores) but it was Friday night we went and to find something good to watch for the weekend. I actually liked that place more than I did blockbuster cause it was when the vhs era then a few years later it crossed over to dvd. But you always found something different on vhs and scary movies where more creepy on vhs Donno why they just where to me anyway

Martin is a great film. I let a mate borrow my Arrow DVD and he never returned it 😞 my favourite video rental store as a kid was called "Canvey Video’s" in my home town, South East England. One of the first films I rented was Licence to Drive on VHS. Those were the days.

  26. Epic Joser on November 10, 2019 at 7:47 pm

  28. Chris Lally on November 10, 2019 at 7:48 pm

Domino video was my little rental shop here in the UK. Such a small shop but every weekend we would go in and rent a new vhs from the left side and then get a free rental from the right side. Mine was always tapes of the Simpson’s of what they had which wasn’t loads. The one thing that always sticks with me about the store was the vhs cover with pinhead on it scared the crap out of me. Such great memories of the place such a shame it’s now gone.

Hey Brendan love your your Saturday out and about, all that’s left in Windsor Canada is A few mom and pops, Video game store that also sells DVDs but somewhat pricey and FAMILY VIDEO You can get previously enjoyed there quite cheaply especially when they have a sale!!Just curious though I noticed in your videos the places that you visit how come you don’t go to value village or pawn shops they both have a great sources for Dvd’s. Pawn shops here sell for $1 each.

One of my favorite video stores back in the day was, "Little Joe’s Video" back in Soledad, CA. It ran until Little Joe (the owner) passed, but that was the spot for every latest movie on VHS.

Great upload Wetmovie 1. Keep up the great work. – Fred

When I was a kid well more like a teenager I used to go to this video store called Montreal Stereo Video where years later when I was 21 I finally worked there and then after that I took a break from working and then in 2000 after a couple of years of just renting there I worked at Blockbuster just like you Brendan. From 2000 to 2011 when they folded. That video store you went to gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

  44. Andrew Goodman on November 10, 2019 at 8:08 pm

My favorite stories around when I was a kid with Blockbuster I used to get my VHS in my DVDs

  45. Joseph A. Sobora on November 10, 2019 at 8:12 pm

Besides "Blockbuster" and "Hollywood Video", I had "Full Throttle Video" where we rented VHS tapes of every movie and TV shows we watched along with renting video games of NES and Sega Genesis until we switched to other Mom & Pop Video Stores like "Video Star", "The Video Station", "20/20 Video" & "Video Hut". Sadly, those were replaced by all these cell phone stores and ranch markets!

  46. Connor Weis on November 10, 2019 at 8:13 pm

Hello WetMovie one I have a movie recommendation for you it’s called “where Hands Touch” unfortunately it doesn’t have a physical release yet but it’s available on digital formats. Sigh, I’m hoping if more people watch it it will get a physical release.

  48. Ricardo Lugo on November 10, 2019 at 8:13 pm

Mine aside from Blockbuster and Hollywood Video was the family run video shop Called Need a Video very kool spot to pick up on movies and such the owners knew my family and i by name which was super kool…….

  49. Delta Knight Vlogs on November 10, 2019 at 8:14 pm

I have the complete Where On Earth Is Carmen Sandiego series on DVD. Loved that show as a kid (and the theme song as well).

And I know what you mean. Every Friday I’d ask my mother could I go rent a game or movie when I was in elementary school.

Speaking of out of print movies, I have the out of print bluray of the original Dawn of the Dead that I bought on Amazon a few years back. Come to find out, people are selling it on Amazon for like $150, if not more.

13:17 2010/2011 at my local Blockbusters. I remember renting bootleg movies there and not realising until I got older.
