You forgot to make the daikon pickles that accompany Japanese curry. Pork adds more flavor than chicken in curry. A beef curry is also more elegant and sophisticated as well.
Ketchup? And i bought ur cookbook… dude… ur stretching… just make it good
go on hell’s kitchen
So in order to make my own curry sauce, I need curry to make curry?
OK full disclosure…
I like your videos
I honestly love your videos
But …. Trio de katsu station????
Is this a Spanish Japanese combination?
Just saying seems a bit weird
I don’t understand how that is hollandaise. He took his curry and just added so much butter.
hello ?? Japanese Curry Powder in homemade curry Roux??
@Joshua Weissman what kind of Sorcery is this man ??
Need Details on this mate, explain this fishy wishy business Chef ??
This is my favorite dishes to make I literally made it this week
Marry me Josh! you might be engaged, and I might be married, but I would marry you for that dish!
josh: packaged curry cubes are so much less flavorful!!!!
also josh: i added nearly all my roux-
Josh, i wish you would take a look at sodium levels in food. we eat far far FAR too much sodium in this country.
Been trying to find a proper japanese curry recipe for a while. Super happy to see this drop into my feed
You should make biryani
THANK U FOR THIS! ive always wondered how to make it without the instant curry packets
if i cant get secreto could get a loin and cut it thin or use flank steak?
Kare-kare (😉 😉)
Stephen Curry
Madam Curie
🥋🥾🍑➡️🚪
Edit-
Joshie, what would coach say, did you just deviate from your timeframe to become a shreddie boi?!!!!! 😭
How about curry bread? 🙂 My fav use of leftover curry
I respect you josh, but if chef morimoto recommends using the premade stuff, that’s what imma do
Good lord the B-roll on this one is orgasmic…
I loved the theme of this episode! Totally think you should do more videos on pre packed grocery store items that can be made at home
I tried imported japanese curry squares and Did it just like they said, and OMG it was ungodly levels of sweet. even over rice.
I love curries, but hardly make them. I want to, and then I realize I never have half the spices despite an overflowing 6 ft tall spice rack. If you have fennel powder on hand, you rock 👊
“Two shots of shirodashi”
The lone carrot made it in. Cries.
Holden curry is literally king it says on the box too add shit
Damn, making a roux doesn’t look that bad. I’m still gonna use prepackaged tho.
so hungry now, looks so great
Ngl… that that hollandaise setup looks 🔥🔥🔥
You can tell Josh was restaurant-trained because of the sheer overwhelming quantity of butter this recipe involves.
Gotta downvote just for talking smack on Golden Curry
Please make hibachi next! ❤
Wow, it’s so delicious 😋🤩
bruh
Apple?
Hey man
You should make a biriyani!
❤
Golden Curry is the worst. Vermont and Java are the way to go. Vermont for a sweet base, Java for savory/spicy. Follow Josh’s instructions but use either of these if you don’t have time to make your own roux and you will be happy.
o.o Im gonna make it Josh. God it looks SO GOOD. 🙂 Thx again for not making boring food ♥
where do you get the curry powder?
Make the Japanese curry powder too
Haven’t watched the video yet, but Jamaican curry is superior.
I like making a roux with curry powder, garam masala, and a little bit of cumin. Japanese curry was the first "actual dish" that I ever made on my own.
whyareyourvideossodamedfastthatwehavetoslowthemdowntounderstandwhatyouaresaying???
I enjoyed this recipe most when simply replacing the chicken with the pork katsu and putting that with the first section. Such a good combo
You are an artist. I am soooo going to make this Curry. Thank you.
"Japanese curry powder" – literally never seen that in the shops before.
You always tell us to make everything (even the bread) from scratch.
Tell us how to make the curry powder oh wise lord! 😅
The curry brick industry is gonna send Josh a cease and desist lmao
looks so appetizing
As an American with an American wife (we’re both part white), we don’t do Euroweenie metrics. Not for cooking. Bridges, rockets, maybe baking, ok, yeah sure. Not for cooking. Glad you also do as @TastingHistory does, lists both measurement systems. Your own country’s traditions hurt no one and are still quite viable (not holding anyone back). The Metric system does not allow for personal tastes or nuances. It’s __too__ precise. Humans aren’t that way. Great stuff amigo.
I tried this recipe. golden curry is better
