RED SNAPPER Season Is Open! Catch Clean and Cook July 2020

RED SNAPPER Season Is Open! Catch Clean and Cook July 2020

It’s red snapper season here in the Atlantic and I get a chance to take Sara our friends out for a few hours. Red snapper are NOT ENDANGERED but The regulations are extremely strict on red snapper in the USA with commercial fishermen getting the majority of the quota. It’s been an ongoing battle for years for the recreational sector to get a bigger portion of the quota. This year we got 4 days in Islamorada to keep them at 1 per person with no size limit! We caught both red snapper and vermillion snapper and then headed back home to cook them up! Sara makes pan fried red snapper and Sadie gives us her opinion on it!

Great to see someone eating fresh snapper I remember when there was no season! (which everyone knows is too short) Someone posted not to let the Bean Fish anymore dang does he want him to quit sniffing air too! Great job as usual with the vid and that porn mustache, it’s you Bro! lol God Bless!

Really like your approach. This is becoming one of my favorite fishing channels. Keep doing what you have been doing. Great job! Those snappers are tiny compared to the Snappers we get leaving out of Mobile Bay but they eat just as good or better!

Does Bud and Mary’s do a tournament like the Big Rock Tournament out of Morehead City NC?? I mean Micheal Jordans Hailing Port is Jupiter FL… He took his yacht almost 800 miles to fish that Tournament. I think Bud and Mary’s has that same Potential !!

Why do you WASTE SO MUCH OF THE FISH THAT YOU CATCH???.MOST PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD USE THE ENTIRE FISH…HAVE YOU OVERWATCH THE JAPANESE PREPARE A FISH???.TRY USING THE ENTIRE FISH OR GIVE IT TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO USE IT….PLEASE. 🤔🙄😏

Great action!! Love the reds and beeliners! Thanks for sharing.

Hey Nick, when you pull the fish from the pan put it on a cooling rack with the paper towel under the rack. The hot fish onto the paper towel causes it to steam underneath and makes it soggy on the bottom. The wire cooling rack will keep it crispy and still let it drain and cool down.

Hey Nick, how does the sizing run on the sun shirts? Similar to say Columbia or Pelagic?
Also, if you would comment your oatmeal recipe in your rice cooker. I’ve tried it a few times with little luck. Thanks! You the man.

You guys have an amazing life. Making memories everyday. Because of technology today you can document it but as time goes on and new technology takes the place of old these videos will be obsolete as far as being able to view them. I’m old and will be gone but I am curious as to what the next 20 years holds for the camera craze. You can already attest that new stuff is coming out everyday and the last years models are now out of date. Have fun

I haven’t fished in the ocean yet , but in my opinion most species of fish have a completely different flesh consistency than , for example, cod, which is unlikely to be found in your region. I am not sure. I am glad that Sadie has accepted the breaded fried fish 🙂

I like the fact that your wife only used the amount of breadcrumbs required. Not like others who empty the bag and throw the remains later

Takes me back to my childhood in the 1960’s. 20 miles off the coast of Destin, catching 40" Red snapper sun up to sun down & the season was all day, every day.

  42. Sione Baker on July 18, 2020 at 9:26 pm

That is my favourite fish to eat!!!

  43. Owen on July 18, 2020 at 9:27 pm

Sarah should have rather stayed at home and left the boys to do the fishing, she spoiled the day for them.
