Set Up Your Tactical Pack Right!

Set Up Your Tactical Pack Right!

It’s fairly common for me to see people hiking around with large MOLLE packs without anything attached, which defeats the purpose of having the webbing there in the first place and only serves to add weight. I set up my pack for “work” with firearms, and turned it into a portable workspace so that items are easily accessible whether on the move or nested up.

As an added note: Having items accessible from one side of the pack is great for when you’re in your tent as well, since you won’t have to wrestle with a pack to get at your items.

  11. Arctic Gator on June 5, 2020 at 5:16 pm

I need a large pouch or two, roughly the size/shape of a loaf of bread that can be mounted on the sides of a pack, most everything i have seen is some proprietary systems that buckles or zips in, maybe you or any other subscribers can point me in the right direction for that?

  12. Audran on June 5, 2020 at 5:17 pm

Nice Video, keep em coming. I would ditch the quick-clot, add an Israeli bandage, a tourniquet, a pair of shear and some hemostatic agent.

  13. kp usa on June 5, 2020 at 5:18 pm

WTF!? you need to delete this video this video is full of nothing but nonsense and bunch of crap you’re trying to sell nobody in their right mind would carry that amount of useless crap while backpacking hiking or any other reason except moving to a new home I think you made this video in your backyard

Going out for my first time tomorrow with the CSM. Really helpful video. And gave me some good ideas for some extra stuff to pack. Thanks man! Sub button pushed brother.

  16. John Ridings on June 5, 2020 at 5:21 pm

maybe get some bigger sun glasses

  17. Dude Broski on June 5, 2020 at 5:22 pm

For splinters in the skin, nail clippers work way better than tweezers. Good idea, never thought to have them in my pack.

  18. Alex McGregor on June 5, 2020 at 5:23 pm

    Pack weight?

  19. Jorge Quiñones on June 5, 2020 at 5:24 pm

Add some good food to the ruck sack.

  20. Matthew Green on June 5, 2020 at 5:24 pm

First aid kit needs to be on the molle brother – must be accessible from the outside of your pack. You are also missing a tourniquet! This is no bueno! You are on the right track – I would give you a 65% on this pack due to the lack of a real trauma kit for what you described as a “rifleman bag”. Other things need to be in there too that contribute to the 65% but I will stop at that.

I have the Thrunite TH10 headlamp. Excellent headlamp. However, I jave since swapped.out for the Nitecore rechargeable headlamp. Reasons are: 1. USB recharge without having to remove battery. Perfect to use with my solat powered battery banks. 2. Has Red Light through a red light button. So perfect for night stealth use and no worrying about cycling white modes to get to red. Downsides are that its not as bright in max mode white as the TH10, but does put out more than enough.

All these wanna be spec ops guys.. Wonderful. Now I know I’m going to be well protected. To many people just obsessed to be a Green Beret, Seal or Delta Force. . For goodness sakes just join the units. There is nothing wrong with just simple backpacking and camping in the woods. I’m ex-military and it is getting sickening.. Maybe there should be NCIC checks on people who purchase these types of packs.

  28. Irish King on June 5, 2020 at 5:42 pm

what kind of rifle is that?

  31. Robert Claar on June 5, 2020 at 5:43 pm

If you’re “really bleeding” the first aid kit you have isn’t gonna do shit. You should consider adding a proper IFAK or blowout kit on your pack.

  32. Isaac Rodriguez on June 5, 2020 at 5:44 pm

    Where’s the kitchen sink?

  33. Cowboy Mevans on June 5, 2020 at 5:44 pm

  34. Big_Mike Adventures on June 5, 2020 at 5:44 pm

Came across your video while searching for a backpack with rifle carrying abilities. Very informative and I plan on implementing some of your ideas,

  35. john king on June 5, 2020 at 5:45 pm

My little angel likes the fur cuffs.

  36. Kaden Beynon on June 5, 2020 at 5:48 pm

Love the no BS vibe, no fancy filming, there’s a raw thing with you. Love it. Very impressed with your methodology behind putting your bag together

  37. Kailand Cole on June 5, 2020 at 5:48 pm

Great video, I was curious what the rifle you’re carrying is?

  38. Eric Ferguson on June 5, 2020 at 5:48 pm

I never thought of using a rangefinder for navigating points. that and a compass bearing would really help.

  39. Alex McGregor on June 5, 2020 at 5:49 pm

Far out gear, all you’re missing is the yellow lightsaber!

  40. Ryan on June 5, 2020 at 5:51 pm

As a beginner, all I have is a Molle II USGI Rucksack. Is that decent to get started in hiking/camping world?

  41. Maurizio Fulignati on June 5, 2020 at 5:53 pm

  42. noah brown on June 5, 2020 at 5:53 pm

  43. Harris Dail on June 5, 2020 at 5:55 pm

Cuffs? Why would you be carrying handcuffs? You taking prisoners ?

  44. Joel Schuette on June 5, 2020 at 5:55 pm

I doubt you were ever in the military and if you were you were definitely never in the field. You have too much crap you don’t need and not enough of the things you do need.

  45. Jorgee Vii on June 5, 2020 at 5:56 pm

    Solid video!

  50. M J on June 5, 2020 at 6:04 pm

Just purchased this backpack, few different things are on the new version I take it. 1 the molle webbing on front is not stitching it’s cut out, 2 the side trekking pole slots don’t have a open bottom now, still has hooks on the inside but it’s a closed bottom. Kinda disappointed in that TBH. Otherwise looks like a great pack! Excited to get it out on the trail.
