Weren’t you in Florida like 4 days ago, or did I watch an old video?

There was a show on about 20 years ago, called Venom ER. Just snake bites/emergency room cases. This episode is graphic. Luckily the guy lived. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apvnqrvd9OE

You should do a video of just the best finds of the year at the end of December. Just the coolest/most interesting/most unusual/most different finds

Man are Black-tails typically that chill? I’m gotten some not super defensive norpacs around here, but nothing as chill as that.

I grew up doing this stuff in upstate NY. Turned over everything, swam in swamps to catch baby snappers and painters, and kept them in tanks to watch how they eat, then let them go and get something else. I sort of grew out of the catching part, but man, when I went to SD, I flipped over a garbage lid and saw a blue racer, I only read about them as a kid, then saw a real one, not in a tank, but in the wild, brought me right back to it.

I’m so happy you had a great trip with the guys and that you got to see that beautiful gray banded king snake. It’s a bummer that your friends live so far away, but at least when you go and visit the herping is different and refreshing. I am always happy when I see a new video from you whether it be recent or from earlier this year πŸ™‚. Have a great Noah and happy herping! πŸ˜„πŸ’™πŸ¬πŸŠπŸ

Saving these videos is a really good idea πŸ‘πŸ½ love the grey banded kings, one of my favorite. Always love your videos.

The Bairdi was awesome. I liked it more than the alterna

Great diversity, Noah. Beautiful snakes out there in WTX.

    Chill blacktail indeed.

Bairds are one of my favorites (those and subocs).

Classic sighting of the Holy Grail!!! Gorgeous specimen! Stunning!

Love that laughing with your buds. πŸ˜€

    Gargantuan night snake!

Those black tails are awesome and chill.

    Long live Oso!

As someone in Northern Indiana it is crazy seeing that you can herp all year round.

This alterna was somewhat drabber looking than the typical ones in photos. I didn’t know of such variability. Also interesting how the night snake balled up immediately once it perceived something like a predator coming near it.

WTX been too long. Some sweet finds in this episode, that alterna, what a pattern. WTX just makes things bigger, that night was a monster.

So good to see a gorgeous grey banded seeming to be doing well in the wild. They were saying those were rare or threatened when I was a kid in the 80’s so it’s good to see a healthy wild one πŸ™‚

  21. Joshua Hull on April 12, 2023 at 8:15 pm

I never will see a gray banded kingsnake in the wild because I’m not going to Texas. I’ve only ever seen 1 in captivity and that will probably never happen again. I saw a beautiful 1 at a reptile show but I don’t really go to those very often anymore. I wonder if any albino gray banded kingsnakes exist with people breeding all of these different morphs. I bet that they would be both beautiful and bizarre looking at the same time.

  22. Brad Thomart on April 12, 2023 at 8:16 pm

That last night snake was HUGE!!!!

  23. Living Life on Life's Terms on April 12, 2023 at 8:18 pm

Thanks for saving that video for us during the current slow period. That was a georgous King Snake and always excited to see Black Tail. 20 drive yikes!

  24. Annie Lynch on April 12, 2023 at 8:19 pm

Its always a good day when you post, and even better when its an alterna video!!! I had only seen gray banded snakes online that have the wide red bands, and I didnt find them as pretty, but they’re so variable out in the wild! I love ones like this one, with some wider red bands and more gray, and that dark phase is just stunning. Gorgeous snake!
