Thanks for this! I am new to Texas, I mean been here 5 years now, but I have been dying to get back into hunting and just confused as where to go. California had lots of public land, so it was easy to find place. Plus I am a self taught hunter. I didn’t grow up being shown the ropes of all of this ๐Ÿ™ Hopefully I can find some good spots now thanks to you, and pass this onto my kiddo’s when they’re old enough.

Iโ€™ve been hunting private leases for 30 years. I have a friend that I just introduced to hunting. Heโ€™s hooked but on limited funds. So we decided public land hunting. We donโ€™t know anything about it. Your video had great information. Any additional information you can pass along very much appreciated. Thanks

This is going to help me out greatly since I was in ALC and then right after had to go to training in FLW. I didn’t have time to set up my spot this season. Thanks for the info!!!

Ive seen many huge deer 20โ€™ off the highway too… huge by tx white tail standards…
geez, this guy is clueless! Just read the book.

Scull road is down the street, has cattle, and a for sale sign on the property.

Where can I go white-tail hunting on public land in Brazoria County?

  22. Saltine American on September 6, 2021 at 5:15 pm

You have to register via eOSR before you hunt to let them know youโ€™re on the property. You have to report your bag too.

  23. Criss Dougherty on September 6, 2021 at 5:17 pm

OSR-On site registration… there’s a butt ton of land near Lufkin for deer and pigs that you DON’T need the APH for….Davey Crockett NF….Pm me and I’ll show you what I’ve got just to caveat, the Alabama Creek DOES require the APH. Alabama Creek has duck hunting on certain days. Regular firearm is anything above rimfire for big game. It’s HARD HUNTING and all my non-combat vets will need a GPS and compass. The pines get scary at night
