This vid was even better than the last one.  Love the way it just tangented off into total random-land at the end…

Great reviews must be the happiest couple on youtube 🙂 perhaps you could write articles for the places you stay for the local publications in that area ? Can be quite lucrative 🙂

If you ever go to Newfoundland, I hear the thing to do there is to camp in quarries.  The whole island is fondly called "The Rock" since there’s not a lot of soil.  When they ran the Transcanada highway across it they had to dig quarries every so often to get the rock to build the road.  These are now used like Walmart parking lots in the States.

Why do you drive so much late/ night. I would be sad not to see the country as I’m driving. I enjoy road trip so much:)

  8. Rachael on June 23, 2020 at 6:39 pm

I know Iowa is pretty boring but Ledges State Park in Madrid, Iowa and Lake Ahquabi State Park in Indianola, Iowa are two of my favorite places to camp. Beautiful sites to see and the nicest people you will ever meet!

Try to get the address or coordinates and view the campsites on google earth before you do all that driving.

You 2 are funny. Hey we paid for a place in Indiana, Lieber park in August 2016 & was invaded by Jurassic Horseflys, I kid you not. It was our Maiden Voyage in our new Cargo Van. We threw a mattress on the floor, grabbed our camping gear & a cooler. Had a great spot under a tree not far from the bath house. Oh boy, we were so glad we had the van for protection & could drive away. That was at dinner time. After the sun went down so did the horseflys. My husband was using the Vans owners manual as a fly swatter. Lol now, not then, wished I filmed it.

I live in the U.P. of Michigan. We have had a lot less misquotes in the last 2 years. Mid may through July is usually the worst. Then on top of it you get biting flies. lol I’ll once again be hammock camping at Pictured Rocks this winter. Almost everyone including the Park Rangers think that I’m crazy. It’s cold and a fun challenge. I had a wolf walk past my hammock last February. It just went into the woods. Come join me on my adventure! lol Bob

Banana slugs are cute. I live in Santa Cruz, CA, and they’re actually the official mascot of the University of California at Santa Cruz because they’re abundant in the forest of this beautiful campus. https://www.ucsc.edu/about/mascot.html

Michigan is beautiful, especially the Upper Peninsula, but there are 6 solid weeks of mosquitos June-July. Visit in the fall. it is beautiful…but cold. Safe travels.

  39. State Parkers on June 23, 2020 at 7:18 pm

Shared it. You guys should hit Texas and go to the Sam Houston National Forrest. Lone Star Hiking Trail. Free camping. 96 mile single line trail. Plenty of water after our floods.

  43. AdventureArchives on June 23, 2020 at 7:20 pm

Man, we got caught in some bad mosquitos in Michigan as well last year.  Also, I can’t imagine why they’d be so strict about overnight parking in Boise.  Strange.  By the way, if you all end up using Sierra Trading Post to buy more things, they gave us a discount code: http://STP.me/VQYRZ
