Welcome to our USA road trip series, where the Travel Beans are experiencing vanlife for the first time. In this travel vlog, we jumped back in our RV and left Death Valley.. deciding to skip Las Vegas and, instead, made our way to the Valley of Fire State Park. Here, we find the most epic camping spot we’ve ever seen and had a race against the clock to get a camping space. The Valley of Fire is home to so much nature and wildlife, including birds, lizards, mountain lions and big-horned sheep.. we even get lucky enough to spot some of them.

In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!
After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

Great content as usual. This video is bringing back some great memories for me. I did a 2 week road trip in early December 2 years ago starting at Arches National Park near Moab UT and ending at Zion and all the parks along the way had breathtaking scenery. I highly recommend spending time in some of the parks at night, especially where there isn’t much light pollution. I did some long exposure shots and time lapses in Arches and was the only person there. The number of stars you see in the sky is a spiritual experience!
Wonderful video
You stumbled upon my all-time favorite campground and I’m so glad you did! We originally stopped there too one year on the way to Zion and went back several times over the years just to go there specifically (without being on the way to Zion). I’m glad to see it’s still so affordable and beautiful. The one bit of wildlife they also had (and might still have) are adorable little bats that come out late at night and circle around the outside of the well-lit restroom, swooping down on the moths that are attracted to the light. We originally thought they were dragonflies, they were so small.Getting to see them was our consolation prize for having to get up in the middle of the night to pee as tent campers (no built-in toilet to use!). Also at night were amazing views of the stars.
She drives. She cleans. And he films…. Wow!
Think you’ll really like Bryce
You should do your water first. Just saying. Love you both
OK, this place is on my bucket list! I went to Vegas once and I could easily never go back! This place is much better!
Great photography! I’m from the US and have never been there. This video may indices US citizens to look at their own backyard! Thanks for a great video guys!
I just love you guys and your enthusiasm!
My wife grew up in Las Vegas! 💥
Became a patron again 😊
Way better than Vegas. No comparison! Can’t wait to see your next adventure. Truly loving these vids.
I love the Southwest but Lady Beans dumping the black tank is EPIC – BEST VID YET! 🙂
Great place. You’re going to love Zion. Are you going to Brice Canyon? My fave is in Sedona near Sliding Rocks. There’s a lot of ruins around Sedona/Flagstaff, Arizona. Antelope Canyon is gorgeous.
👍💕
Awesome campsite with the wildlife and scenery! Cool camper van – where did you rent it?
I travel quite a bit and ALWAYS carry some cash in the currency of the nation I’m in, typically somewhere in the range of $150(US) amount. You can use credit cards more in US than most other countries, but I’m surprised experienced travelers like you didn’t have a few hundred in US Cash, just in case. Live and learn.
You guys would love Sedona.
You are such a lovely couple, I enjoy your videos and mostly your personality and your laughter, I wish I had you both as friends, my life would have been more beautiful. Thank you for the beautiful videos and be safe.
That looked like an awesome place to camp:) great video
If you ever come to Canada some of the best camping is around Flin Flon Manitoba, lakes, trees nature and at night the Northern LIghts beautiful…
I would suggest taking a detour thru snow canyon state park just a little nw of St George Utah. You won’t regret it.
Too bad you couldn’t stay in the area longer. There is amazing free boondocking sites on Lake Mead right near there and free hot springs to enjoy too. There is no reason to go to Vegas. It can’t compare to the nature. I hope you are using freecampsites.net to find amazing places to camp all over the US. I have been nomading for 2 years and haven’t spent a penny.
Amazing video. The sheer joy and wonderment you both showed was incredible. Just like Narnia. Happy travels.
I’ve never been to Sedona, Arizona but I’ve been told it’s the most fantastic place to visit. An unforgettable place…. and one on my bucket list. Planning a visit soon, and going hiking there as well.
The mountain lion, the witch and the chipmunk. Narnia v 2.0
Love these two! Having grown up in Wyoming I find nature FAR more appealing than a city like Las Vegas. Nature has a way of soothing the soul whereas cities can steal your soul, especially Las Vegas!
Welcome to Mars … we are no earthlings… we are DEVO!
Epic vid! Dude how did you get her to dump the tanks “Hey, it’ll be good for the channel….”🤣🤣🤣
Hi Alex and Emma just want you to know I still watching your vlogs altho I’m not commenting sometimes. Have a great day and godspeed
Was very hot when I was there in 2018 but spectacular nonetheless. And to think most visitors to Las Vegas never bother to head out to this state park.
I stayed at Arch Rock campground for two weeks in October. So many places to explore and no crowds, yet. Such a magical place- I hope you will be able to return – the road by the visitor’s center that leads to the Fire Wave is a photographer’s dream.
Excellent views.I like them so much
Emma is incredibly beautiful
That does look magical!
That campsite looks beautiful. I’ll have to visit one day. Which one did you stay at Arch Rock or Atlatl Rock campground?
Where are you going after Zion, so we know what to recommend along the route?
Well worth the wait. What a stunning place! Thank you for sharing and for showing all the wildlife.
I’ve seen so many photos of Zion on the gram! Looking forward to the next one
This place is amazing!!
Vegas looks so plasticky.. You did well to avoid it….
Yeah, we drove out to the Valley of Fire in our rental car from Vegas when we were there in 93.
Wow! You saw big horn sheep on a random visit to Valley of Fire! Do you have ANY idea how lucky you were? Amazing! The reason it looks like a film set is dozens of movies from the Ten Commandments to Star Trek have been filmed there. You didn’t mention the 4,000 year old petroglyphs. They are All over the park! Including Atlatl Rock just outside the campsite!
Okay, I cannot believe I didn’t catch this when it first came out. Notifications on! The only YouTube channel I’ll have on notifications. My two favorite Beans.
Enjoy you time here in the good ole USA. be careful of the slithering nasties. The like to hide in the shadows and rocks.. too bad you were not hitting national parks and recreation areas, the annual park pass is only $80 USD
I never see him drive. Is he disabled?
AMAZING THANK YOU EMMA AND ALEX
Valley of Fire was the highlight of our trip to Nevada – way more interesting than Vegas!
Absolutely Stunningly Beautiful! And we’re yanks, as you guys say 😉
But seriously, we’ve traveled all over the USA and somehow this spot evaded us. Haven’t even seen this campground on our favorite RV’er channels. Huge thanks for this share, and Great B-Roll too.
Best, James and Kim
OMG, went to Zion twice and missed this spectacular windswept park. Well done 😎
