March is a great time to travel and here are 5 of our top picks for the month.
Held in Valencia every year, 2017’s Las Fallas festival runs from March 12th to the 19th. The long-standing tradition sees the city taken over by a grand parade that culminates in the burning of huge sculptures built by local artists.
The sculptures are on show for four days at locations all around the city, along with open-air concerts, cooking competitions, street parties and spectacular fireworks.
March is a great time to go to Las Vegas if you want cheaper deals, minimal crowds and a cooler climate. The Grand Canyon National Park is a five-hour drive from the city, so we recommend an overnight stay. And if you’re fortunate you could even see it covered in snow.
Nepal in March hosts the beautiful Holi Festival – also known as the Festival of Colour! Powdered corn starch is thrown into the air along with water balloons making this one of the most fun celebrations in the world. Nepal is full of adventure, beautiful scenic views, and amazing history that make it a must visit.
March 17th is St Patrick’s day, and where better to celebrate it than Dublin? The one-day festival is held every year to honour the saint who brought Christianity to Ireland as well as celebrating Irish culture and history.
From midday parades to a music festival, and copious amounts of Guinness, the city will have an abundance of festivities for everyone.
Tokyo is an amazing city and March is without doubt one of the best times of year to visit. The cherry blossoms come out into full bloom and the city is overtaken by colour. A great spot to join the locals is at Shinjuku Gyoen, a huge park with over a thousand cherry trees.
