I don’t know if you guys have been to Borrega Springs area, there is a state park in the area, plus lots of BLM lands, and if you wish there are private RV parks and resorts, all price points. There is a desert playground for 4 wheeling set aside for just that. So just in case you haven’t been there, you should give it a try. You probably already know about it. Happy, Healthy, & Wealthy New Year to the 2 of you!!!

I agree! My top one would also be low humidity. Are you working you way to Quartzite for January? I really want to go, but dont think I’ll make it this year. I’ll have to wait for you videos. Thanks!

I love our Gators. We lived in FL for 26 years and the humidity became normal for us. We do winter in the Keys now that we are no longer FL residents. Heading west when we leave the Keys. Happy New Year. Safe travels.

Candace, despite your comment at 7:24, you do not have to put any effort into looking cute!! Even on those days when you have not had a chance to put yourself together, that smile of yours cuts through it all and is very appealing. You have been very blessed in that way and with a very sweet disposition. Wear them well and be thankful!!

  20. laura j phillips on May 23, 2020 at 4:59 pm

Candice there is no way you couldn’t look cute your a very pretty woman! I was a hairstylist 28 years I notice these things!

WARNING – This may offend Californians.. I hate California..
I’ve been there done that, for years and can’t handle the DRY THICK SMOG, it makes my lungs, head and skin hurt. I need clean air, high with oxygen not smog.
I also love the low fuel prices in the south..
There’s beaches and plenty of tourist destinations and offroad trails, to hike or ride ATVs. They even have MUD FEST, where everyone gets muddy and have mud pulls.
There’s also plenty of FREE or INEXPENSIVE CAMPING along the Gulf Coast, from the Mexico, Texas border all the way south of Tampa Florida.
    So lets go get muddy..

STOP telling all of our secrets about the west! Lol!

  24. John Diezel on May 23, 2020 at 5:03 pm

Great video! I’m stuck in the northeast, wish I was down there playing in the sand.

Have a Blessed, Joyous, Healthy, and Adventurous New Year!!!

  25. Suzanne Nelson on May 23, 2020 at 5:06 pm

The West IS the Best! When it comes to weather, lack of humidity and mild winters. The gas is higher here as you mentioned and the property taxes aren’t anything you have to worry about. With that said, California is not the state it used to be. Disappointing for me since I am a native and have lived her for decades… The politics? I won’t go there…… Cheers you two! Happy New Year!

  26. DALE RICE on May 23, 2020 at 5:07 pm

You two are so awesome. I live in AZ in Gilbert and moved here 2 yrs old from Michigan, I love it here and I have to agree with you I hate humidity. The WEST is the BEST!!!!! Hope you guys have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEARS. Oh and I was at Disney in FL the week before Christmas, it was humid and it rained a few days. lol

  28. Scenic Driveways on May 23, 2020 at 5:08 pm

We had high winds all night , minus – 20 degree F. wind chills and a few inches of snow with lots of snow drifts. They closed down I-90 . ( it’s back open now )
Happy New Year guys. Safe travels.

  29. Jumping Off The Cliff on May 23, 2020 at 5:09 pm

We’re in southern California right now, and I see why people love it here. It takes awhile to figure out how to do things inexpensively, but the diversity in climate, geography, people makes it interesting. Thanks for the video.

  30. Dean Hauser on May 23, 2020 at 5:10 pm

we have been to California in the winter twice only up in San Francisco, was very nice

  31. Jim Davis on May 23, 2020 at 5:12 pm

Florida is even better. January ant it currently 66. Anything under 75 is cold for us.

  32. Rowdy One on May 23, 2020 at 5:13 pm

I have been an RV’er for 23 years and lived here in the Northeast all my life. Having said that ….. you are soooooo right. The southwest is the best in the winter and for the reason you state.

  33. Freddy Pride on May 23, 2020 at 5:16 pm

I will take the south east love my gators and hogs

We are selling in Florida and want to try AZ for my wife’s allergies. Every winter in Florida we stay cooped up inside with two air cleaners running to keep her healthy.

I live in Saskatchewan Canada (roughly 12 hours straight north of Billings MT) and today’s temperature is -45 celsius (you do the conversion to fahrenheit because i’m afraid to lol)
So therefore my top 5 are:
    1 no cold temps
    2 no cold temps
    3 no cold temps
    4 no cold temps
    5 no cold temps

I don’t want it to be warm in the winter. I want it to be cold during the winter, like it’s supposed to be. I want to walk out on Christmas and see snow like I did when I was a kid. I want beautiful grey skies and that "Thanksgiving/Christmas" feel in the air. I want that crisp, cool nip of the cold to give me a breath of fresh air and a spark in my step. I like it out West but one of the main things I wouldn’t like about it was that I couldn’t feel the wonderful winter snap.

  42. Honore Acosta on May 23, 2020 at 5:30 pm

    I don’t RV cali

  43. G on May 23, 2020 at 5:31 pm

Like the song says "It never rains in So. Calif." but it sure drizzles all the time!!! The dry dusty windy empty desert sure isn’t very inviting to me.
