Will even the Sails bite the wire trace?
Absolutely 100%. You’ll catch plenty of sails, even on the wire. Capt Mike
Could I make you guys some custom rods or are you guys set?
kite fishing looks so much fun..i have rods but haven’t used them in over a year..always something to do even when im not working im working..but i am definitely doing this in a couple weeks i cant wait.
Do you ever need to use a stinger rig for the kings on kites?
Yes, we certainly use stingers on our kite baits when specifically targeting kings, especially during tournaments. Remember to keep the stinger short, 4" at most. Unlike nose hooking when flatlining, kite baits will be hooked in shoulder area with j-hook, and stinger will only be about three inches back by tail, so no need for long trace of wire. Capt Mike
What kind of reel was on those rods?
How does this wire to mono/Floro connection not fail under tension? I feel like the wire would cut through it when a fish is ripping drag
