daiwa , shimano , okuma and abu sweden have their own factory’s , all
other reel companies have reels made. I was amazed the first time I went
to icast, by the number of Asian ppl pushing the generic tackle… they
all had their little booths , pushing rods , reels , lures , line and
anything else you can think of…you want your own brand of reels with your
name on it ? they can do that too , if you have enough $$.
I bet you would feel better if it was a name brand on it . same stuff plus it’s made in China still.

Arent all reels from china? Why wait 2 or 3 weeks to get a chinese reel? Ebay has them in the states for about $17+ up. I got my Abu Garcia knockoff from ebay in less than 6 days for under $20. 3 trips out to the lake and caught about 12 fish. Its already paid for itself. If i have it this time next year i’d recommend it

My Penn reels were made in the USA. I’ll put em up against that Chinese junk anytime.
i think its kinda like pronouncing "Signal" they went for that approach.
Another issue is, Chinese sellers posing as US sellers with false US address, The "US Sellers Only" search filter on the left side of the search page is useless! So to hopefully avoid this, just use contact seller and look at the top of the contact page for, The seller is on a different server and speaks a different language header at top of page, to help avoid the BS Trap! The Chinese scammers are ruining the eBay trusted seller and buyer reputations!
How do you feel about offshore Angler Reels?
Auto engage is not that great on some cheaper reels. Handles slams foward when casting and engages
no auto engage. I am a penn 209 9m kinna guy.

so whats the verdict? do you think these reels will last some time? are they charter boat worthy for costumer after customer?
I have several fixed spool reels from Singnol and they are super. Much better than several well known mark reels.
I have had that same exact reel for over a year and have caught some decent fish with it and I also haven’t had to take it apart once
