I figure you are the man to ask ,can u give me some knowledge on how to get started fishing intourments .If u can and have the time to give me all the details on how to get started . If you have the time to explain ,and go into the finest details of all .From when you decided to do this as a living .It is very hard to find any fisherman to give you basically everything that you would need to know .Even with all the information that is easily accessible to find on the internet. I am sure that alot of pros leave out so much ,they dont want to give you the do’s and do not. So I figure I would try and connect with you Mr. Martin .Your whole family seems to be a Christian family . I have by what I have researched about you is that if I was going to find out about what the whole pro fishing circuit is about .You are the man that wont steer me wrong . Mr.martin I followed a couple other pros but they contradict themselves so you are the only pro that I am subscribed to and make sure that whatever you do I am notified on every move you do as a fisherman. Fishin has a way of bringing out all of our emotions, good and bad. I don’t think anyone knows that better than you guys. The Lord blessed you with a safe couple days on the water and enjoying what you do for a living. Hey love all your videos scott just wondering if u could throw out a little info on maybe where to fish lake okeechobee see make a long story short me and my son and brother just moved here in the last few months and its been my dream all my life to fish lake okeechobee and after 40 years im here and now some of the bait stores are kind of tight lipped they just want u to pay for a guide service and ill be honest we just put everything into this little house we bought in Taylor Creek and really no joke we are broke so we couldnt really afford a guide but just thought u might be able to help me with a little info thats all anyway keep up the shows there great i have learned alot already thanks oh and we always practice catch and release wasnt sure if alot people we talked to thought we keep bass or something so they Wouldn’t really help us maybe just haven’t ask the right people yet but sorry for this long paragraph wasnt my intention so thanks for listening

I have that problem with normal size doorways since I’m 6’7, I get the shit knocked out of me by ceiling fans and all!! It’s definitely no fun, really hurts when your wearing a hat with a button on the top and step just right so that you don’t hit your head on the doorframe, but u smash the metal button up into the doorframe and it has nowhere to go but down into the top of your skull!
Obviously we all You are an awesome witness for faith and always giving God the glory. But when you didnt cuss on camera when you lost that fish……that could only have been the holy spirit.
Wow i feel your pain, I fished the professional walleye trail tournament on that lake a number of years ago it was so tuff because of cor changing water levels every day, fish were always confused and moving.
We caught a few walleye but definitely more bass.
I must say its a beautiful part of the country and very scenic.
My hat goes off to you for a greet season, keep up the awesome videos.
Someday I will return and fish the lake again.

You did the best you could Scott. I was laughing so hard when you were talking about maybe the fish had died and no one knew yet and also when you were talking about the Shad. I ran into this same situation last weekend. The Bass and Striper in Falls Lake, NC were crushing shad. I threw everything. I fished on top, through and under the shad and caught nothing. I could not figure them out. Also, I was bank fishing. I was saying a lot of the same things you were bud. It was weird and the most difficult fishing I think I have ever experienced man. You will get it next year!!

I know the feeling. The bass here in GA have been doing the same thing. Literally eating shad that are about 1 inch big. Wont hit a 3.25 paddle tail.

A little trick I have learned when bass are eating little shad like that ( idk if it’s legal in pro fishing) is to throw a crappie jig. Like a one inch or inch and a quarter Big Bite fluke.
