Take down of the hipster cups is so true, so true. But ads done brainwashed me, I can’t part from them. I mean, mine say that I support public radio. I mean, I can’t not virtue signal when I’m camping, right? And damn, fuckers at Yeti make you buy the lids separately? That some bull.

  2. Linda W on May 31, 2020 at 4:56 pm

Can you do a video on how you pack the Jeep?
Love the setup. Always trying to pack more minimally. We pack 3 cots so we don’t sleep on air mattress or on rocks. The cots take up quite a bit of space even though they’re long and narrow. Your lightspeed inflatables don’t deflate at all?

  3. Rich Lande on May 31, 2020 at 4:57 pm

Wow…really fantastic video. Will keep this for my kids and I. Rich

Did you get the Skottle since this video, I can’t imagine you two camping without one.

  5. Ente Imaginante on May 31, 2020 at 5:05 pm

Nice to see you both smiling and laughing again :_) The table is amazing, btw!

  8. S Wong on May 31, 2020 at 5:08 pm

Is it ok to put the used ground coffee back into the ground? Wouldn’t it be harmful for dogs if you do?

You would love the Espro travel coffee press. It’s a French press with a DOUBLE filter and vacuum-insulated stainless steel mug all-in-one…and it’s made in Vancouver! You can purchase from the Espro website out purchase from The Bay. It’s actually 25% off ATM.

What a neat, tidy, compact, comfortable, convenient, efficient, and superbly gadgeteered car camping outfit.  Big shout out to gadgeteer-in-chief, Dude, for finding essential camping gadgets that contribute to domestic harmony.  That’s a win-win if I ever saw one.  Well done, Lum family!

  21. randy vallis on May 31, 2020 at 5:19 pm

For not being hard core campers it looks pretty hard core to me. Happy camping, more people need to do this.

  22. Janet on May 31, 2020 at 5:21 pm

    Very nice setup

  23. Burgos Family on May 31, 2020 at 5:22 pm

Where did you get the kitchen chuck box at? The link wasn’t working for me. Thanks for the video.

  24. Lura Perkins on May 31, 2020 at 5:22 pm

Walmart carries the same types of mugs/drinkware as the Yeti but much more affordable!

  25. Albert DeSiena on May 31, 2020 at 5:22 pm

I like your videos. How do you get all your gear for 4 people into that Jeep? Do those Jeep have that much room? Keep doing what you are doing. Be creative and keep innovating . Good luck and glad to see someone from Vancouver.

  26. JB Outdoors on May 31, 2020 at 5:24 pm

  28. Leave It In Beaver on May 31, 2020 at 5:25 pm

Flo you need a pair of aviator sunglasses. You would look so badass in them. Love the gadgets! You make me want to camp again.

  29. Debbie Fisher on May 31, 2020 at 5:25 pm

Excellent and well thought out gear and organization.

  30. jean on May 31, 2020 at 5:26 pm

Hipster enamel mugs. You crack me up, Dude Lum. 😂😂 Yup coffee is VERY important!
That’s a pretty campsite. Where is this campground? We’re always looking for new places to drop the airstream.
Thanks for introducing us to the skottle. I love ours! 👍🏻

I’m excited to be going to Banff and Jasper National Parks this year! Granted, I will be in my trailer…with electricity 😂. Have fun and be safe!

  33. stretchyourpeanut on May 31, 2020 at 5:34 pm

@flolum where is your parka from?

  35. macgurrl on May 31, 2020 at 5:36 pm

Those are some super cool camping items Dude found. Dude is one smart guy, he knows what the meaning of “happy wife happy life” truly means. Thank you for sharing. ❤️

  36. Martin Topp on May 31, 2020 at 5:37 pm

Hi there. Is he your Husband, Spouse, Partner or Best Friend? DUDE sounds so crass and cheap to me. But, hey I’m from New Zealand. Our slang is different to yours. If you type in "Dude Camel Meaning" to Google and clicked on the Wikipedia link…you might get a surprise at some of the meanings that are ventured!

  37. F. D. Worth on May 31, 2020 at 5:38 pm

I spent 35 years “camping” with the US Army to include a combat tour in Iraq. Many nights sleeping in Army issued mummy bags, sleeping in small tents and Army GP (General Purpose) large tents , drinking GI coffee, and eating MREs (Meals Rejected by Ethiopia). After retiring from the Army, my wife and I only “camp” in 5 star hotels !!!! 😂

  38. Aundria M. on May 31, 2020 at 5:40 pm

This setup is so efficient. If I were a camper, I would buy me an "Archie" and set it up just like this. 🙂

  39. Flo Lum on May 31, 2020 at 5:42 pm

This is the earliest we have ever gone camping and we had amazingly beautiful weather. What are your favourite camping gear must-haves?

  40. Warren Beers on May 31, 2020 at 5:43 pm

Great video Flo and Dude. Interesting stuff. Very well thought out. Camping gear has definitely improved from my camping days…I remember commenting on this during your cross country trip a couple of years ago. Love all of the gear and the mod’s to the Jeep for the fridge, etc. Thanks again and enjoy the nice weather and camping.

  41. R B P E 3 That’s Me on May 31, 2020 at 5:46 pm

    Definitely worth it

  42. minhster on May 31, 2020 at 5:48 pm

OMG, that re-purposed D-Flite is genius! Wished my FJ had room for something like that

  43. Stewart58 on May 31, 2020 at 5:48 pm

Hey Dude, you can refill 1lb propane canister safely. There are several "How To" videos on YouTube. Sometimes it is handy to have the smaller canisters available.

  44. Karin Groes on May 31, 2020 at 5:48 pm

So well organized! 👍. Loved your cross country road trip video’s ❤️❤️

  45. Jules D on May 31, 2020 at 5:49 pm

    Love love love that shot!

  46. C Samms on May 31, 2020 at 5:50 pm

this was super good. You found some great items, just to keep in the car. thank you and you should make a camping list of must haves so people and just print it out and go shopping:)

  47. Ciarrroscurrro on May 31, 2020 at 5:50 pm

I enjoy your videos but I grew up camping in Europe and my philosophy is more simple. We don’t grind coffee while camping. We buy ground coffee. We eat sandwiches and canned soup or beans. I take camping as an opportunity to teach my kid that you can live simply and with little and be so happy and have so much fun. We do have comfy mattress and all but everything else we simplify. So we use disposable dishes keep cooking and cleaning to minimum and gear pared down to minimum. However I get that 6 weeks camping trip it’s not the same as 4 day trip in BC and probably would probably augment my filosophy on that one

  48. Pam Murphy on May 31, 2020 at 5:50 pm

Hi Flo & Dude, these sound like wonderful camping finds! I especially am curious about the stainless cutlery drawer set up (from a doggie supply store – talk about think outside of the box! LOL), and so much more durable than a plastic drawer set up. Kudos and happy camping for 2019! Other great ideas and products too, thanks! We hope to do a LITTLE camping out of our CRV this summer, so any suggestions from you or your followers are greatly appreciated! I’ve already made custom window screens – for hopefully keeping those ever pesky moquitoes out, and hope to find a way to comfortably sleep. This whole thing may be a challenge, but I’m willing to try – we are both in our 60’s! Thanks again!

  49. Joe Murphy on May 31, 2020 at 5:51 pm

You had me at bourbon sour.

"Temperature Challenged".. LOL … I hear that! You guys are adorable. Thanks for sharing…. great tips.
