Camping World Exposed on The RV Show USA

The Producer of the video “The Truth about Camping World” Kevin Frazer joins Alan Warren in the studio to talk about how some Camping World “sales techniques” have destroyed people’s financial lives, ruined their passion for RVing and will ultimately have a negative effect on the RV Industry. Here’s a link to that video:

This is nothing but a infomercial for Cheyenne Camping Center. Kevin how much did you pay for this advertising for your business. The time a business relies on slamming their competion their own business is usually failing miserably. The truth? The truth is that it’s a damn shame this is your business practice. Little old lady story too? Come on man..

We bought our 2019 Montana last year from Camping World in Harrisburg Pa. Everyone was super nice. We had no issues had all. We can’t complain about anything. We even had to take our 5th wheel back for the fireplace. It was take care of.

  6. Frank McGrath on November 1, 2019 at 3:47 pm

Hanover is the same. We spent several hours looking at units and then during the sit down with the finance guy, we were told we couldn’t afford the unit we were looking at. He said he would cut us a deal on a larger unit with 1% power financing. Bottom line was 10,000 dollars higher. Won’t even buy supplies from them any more. Amazon is the way to go.

For all of your idiots that can’t deal with FACTS! and claim that the CEO of camping world said he didn’t want "Trump supporters" business. WRONG! The CEO of Camping World stated, after a violent white supremacist Terrorist, rally in Charlottesville, Virginia “There’s no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple days and if they are, quite frankly, don’t shop at my business,” said Lemonis, who is CEO of Camping World and host of CNBC’s “The Profit. ”, So he doesn’t want Racist Terrorists business, The FACT! that you equal "Trump supporters" to Terrorists that have killed more US citizens then ISIS, The Taliban and Al Qaeda, including dragging a man, James Byrd Jr, to his death behind a truck, Showed up in Charlottesville, Va. in Full NAZI, KKK uniform, called for the "Destruction of the Constitution" and one of them drove a car into a crowd of US citizens, murdering 1 and injuring 19 others, Tells EVERYTHING! about YOU!

Why am I the only one bringing this up. Better Business bureau claims "Not Registered With The BBB" and almost 900 complaints with only one store :
    250 Parkway Drive Suite 270
    Lincolnshire, Illinois 60069
This is only one store out of 100’s,, WHY AREN’T THESE PEOPLE CHECKING THIS INFO BEFORE BUYING. I always check, Without these heroes putting up videos I still would have walked away from Camping World doing my own due diligence.

I suddenly don’t feel as much sympathy for these morons that spend 50 grand on something without a BBB search. And even a Private investigator electronic search.
Anyway; why is this proven fact NOT mentioned in these videos, This bbb page backs up Kevin Frazer’s claim, he should be linking to this. Vet this yourselves folks here’s the proof.
It’s only one effen store for god sakes, multiply this by stores owned and Christ !!! You know they are the MOB and have big brother in their pockets.

Wish I knew about this a year ago. Our RV has been in their shop since January to have the siding replaced. The manufacturer cut it too short. We’ve been getting the run around for 5 months!

Advice on a RV dealer in the Dallas/fort Worth area? One who, if we buy a warranty will be reputable? This will be our first rv

  17. Bob Newsome on November 1, 2019 at 4:05 pm

Imagine being a Full Timer and Camping World keeps your RV for weeks waiting on parts. These stories are all over the internet. I researched for 3 years before I bought my 5th Wheel, which we live in Full Time. I am glad I decide not to even waste my time there. The whole RV industry is built around the idea that your only going to use an RV 10 to 20 days a year so by the time something breaks you could be out of warranty. They are hand made which means you are going to have problems. So response by their Service Dept is real important. Go to a RV shows and go on the last day and look at the condition of the RVs after a weekend of people walking through them you will see closet doors off their hinges, kitchen doors up messed, hand rails hanging down etc.. It will give a good idea how certain manufactures products hold up. If you buy a new RV choose a good dealer that has a highly rated Service Dept, they will be advocates for you back to the manufactures. I decided to buy used a consigned unit through a dealer, all the bugs were worked out and somebody else paid the depreciation. There are good dealers out there. Arrange your own financing! They are just like car dealers they get a cut if you use their banks.

  18. mrsquishyboots on November 1, 2019 at 4:12 pm

A family member of mine was a salesman there. They cut commission and refused to pay commissions owed.

  19. yorkienme 226 on November 1, 2019 at 4:12 pm

We were totally taken advantage of by Camping World near Myrtle Beach, SC. Sales guy was sticking "Sold" signs on each camper we considered, he was texting me throughout the day, we were assured we needed the $10,000 worth of extra warranty protection, they pulled each of our credit reports THREE TIMES EACH, we have several different quotes on what we purchased the rv for from $31,000 to almost $52,000 because "banks need to see equity", we have almost hated this RV and are considering taking a huge loss just to get rid of this awful experience!!

  20. Jim L on November 1, 2019 at 4:16 pm

By BL – Yes, we heard that when they slimmed into our area. Other sports stores in our area were going to go out of business because of Gander Outdoor.

  21. Robert Rife on November 1, 2019 at 4:16 pm

CEO of CW hates President Trump, and does not want Trump supporters business! So………

Personally, I completely dislike them, they are, in fact, owned by CHINA!

  22. John Doe on November 1, 2019 at 4:19 pm

This is old news about anything on wheels.
    If you have to finance.
Go to your OWN financing institution.

Watch out for the money-grubbing, power Snakes… the shakers and movers … in every business. Im allergic to snake-breath. The second their mouth opens and that tongue starts licking … my feet start running .. I’m blessed.

I’ve been hearing negative reviews about "Cramping World" for over a decade and one would think with as much negativity being spread around, the creeps at "Cramping World" would change their business ethics but, I guess they figure there is a sucker born every minute and will legally rippoff the next guy.
The real rippoffs, crooked dirty dealers are the lawmakers that allow these card sharks at "Cramping World" continue on with these dirty backstabbing business ethics.

  26. ghahandi on November 1, 2019 at 4:21 pm

Lemonis goes after the greenhorns-eh? Marcus looks for the suckers. Check out what he did to the young lady who had a successful camp-equestrian business. Lemonis a.k.a. CAMPWORLD- did exactly what Kevin Frazer is describing in this video. Don’t be a Lemonis Sucker. Lemonis sniffs them out.
There’s one born every minute & he’ll find you & go for the green. Greedy F**k. There is no need for bad business.

  27. Nomad X on November 1, 2019 at 4:21 pm

My local Camping World has a new name but is still owned by “CWI, Inc.”

Care to guess what the “CW” stands for?

Because this is what you do when your brand becomes toxic. You change the name and carry on.

  28. Joshua Blizard on November 1, 2019 at 4:26 pm

So a competitor of CW makes a video saying don’t go to CW? Oh my! Wow…. I’m so shocked. Seems pretty petty pal

  29. szatuchny on November 1, 2019 at 4:27 pm

Marcus Lemonis refused to remove the American flag when people complained that it was offensive. He has my respect.

  30. Carol Wickwire on November 1, 2019 at 4:28 pm

I bought from camping World 2 years ago. Yesterday i tried to trade up to a new and more expensive camper only to find out i am $11,000 upside down on my loan. I wish i hab of investigated them before I bought! Everything alan snd kevin talk about is all true! The finance people are horrible people!

  31. Frank Roper on November 1, 2019 at 4:28 pm

They must have removed it. This is the only video on camping world I can find.

  32. Meme Debunked on November 1, 2019 at 4:29 pm

The reason you pay so much more for financing is because campers fall under “RECREATIONAL LOAN”, which start the APR rate at 5.99%! You can go to a credit union and just borrow the full amount and pay their rates I suppose, plenty of people do it, but where Camping World gets you is the payment section on the worksheet! As long as I keep them in the payment they like it doesn’t matter if I hit them with the 10 year or the 20 year term, they are just happy that we got them done. There is saved you 24min of BS, now come by a camper from me so I can snap necks, cash checks, and put you in serious debt with no remorse 😂

  33. James Marshall on November 1, 2019 at 4:29 pm

I’m also finding that I can’t get service from other RV dealers or service centers when they find out that I purchased my RV from Camping World. That’s shameful to treat an RV newbie like that who was already fleeced by Camping World.

  34. mark spannar on November 1, 2019 at 4:29 pm

I am not a RV owner or even a camper but this is all new to me about camping world and Marcus .

  35. bob stuerke on November 1, 2019 at 4:30 pm

Great public service message. Stay away from Camping World and Gander Mountain (same company) if you don’t want to be ripped off. They are the sleeziest companies around. There are many good RV dealers to go to, so protect yourself and avoid Camping World.

  36. lynda stengel on November 1, 2019 at 4:31 pm

So my question: What if you just buy a travel trailer from Camping World but finance w/your own credit union? No extended warranties, no unethical "set-up/prep" fees, and no camping world financing. Just the bottom basement price for the trailer and nothing else. Would that be a bad idea? We actually are headed to a camping world tomorrow to purchase our first travel trailer, but I am now having second thoughts. Like I said, we will use our own financing and not purchased any extended warranties or protection plans from the. What do you think?

  37. joe cunningham on November 1, 2019 at 4:31 pm

Just wanting to see if anyone can help me. who do I get in contact with to help me cancel a extended warranty I just bought last week with the RV from camping world

  38. Jim L on November 1, 2019 at 4:32 pm

By BL – Stay away from Couches RV, especially doing business over the phone or internet. We were told our down payment would be reimbursed – NOT. LOOK over your paper work to sign VERY CAREFULLY !!
The obnoxious, rude, young salesman was terrible.

This guy is the Alex Jones of the RV world. “Did you know that RV salesmen will try to sell you an RV?” “Did you know that RV dealerships make money from financing”

  44. Stuart T on November 1, 2019 at 4:40 pm

Marcus Lemonis said he doesn’t want Trump supporters to shop in his stores for him saying there’s good people on both sides, Is he now going to ban Biden supporters for the words Biden said about bussing & being able to work with segregationist ?

  45. James Marshall on November 1, 2019 at 4:40 pm

I’m a 1st time RV newbie… although I scoured YouTube and watched tons of RV videos, I just wish I could have found this video BEFORE I bought my first RV from Camping World in October 2018. Yes… they fleeced me. 🙁

  46. Jessy Greene on November 1, 2019 at 4:40 pm

We bought our first RV from a local RV center, our second at a larger company out-of-state, and our third RV from Camping World. We were informed consumers and had a good experience at each retailer except the out-of-state company I won’t even mention. Every RV has issues that need addressed, and our problems were handled in a reasonable time. Smaller RV businesses can have better or worse customer service, and every service center is working at 110% so it is difficult to get work done in a timely manner anywhere, in our experience. Big Box versus Mom & Pop is not a new story, but this is a great advertisement for one local business. Is there a hotline for a good experience with Camping World? Do your own research no matter what business you walk into and you won’t walk away feeling swindled.

  47. bigbird3420 on November 1, 2019 at 4:40 pm

I work for cw as a tech. I will say not every store is the same. While ive worked on motorcycles, semi trucks, concrete boom trucks, and now rvs. Some of the actual camper problems are warranty problems. They give no time to fix things. And then the company wony pay us to fix it either. Thr trailers are fraudulently being built at best. But i do agree they dont pay the people that actually work. Right now i make yhe company between 200 and 240 hours of work a month flat rate… i bring home roughly 2800$… thats 20 to 50k a month i make them and i barely cleared 40k last year. Piece work is an excuse to not pay people. I bought an rv from a mom and pop, they said everything worked it didnt. So i said i can be better than this. And well now im a technician. I have quality and knowledge of someone that makes 30+ an hour. If you start to stick up for yourself and demand more pay they starve you out… i can’t even afford my insurance through them…
