Wish we had that in the UK. ASDA (one of our big grocery stores) is owned by Walmart, but we have none of that gear in stores. They do have some of the kit, but that is mainly in the DIY/vehicle section for the First Aid kits, etc or just seasonal goods, but nothing like what you have in the USA.

I hope we had walmart here in indonesia. Lots of cool stuff with cheap prices

  7. Alann Hod on March 30, 2020 at 1:34 pm

Btw, in the flashlights section you showed some packs of flashlights on the rightmost side for something like 49 and then 58. Those were in the wrong section because the real flashlights that go there are the Bushnell now 800 lumen rechargeable flashlight and for 58 the Bushnell 1500 lumen rechargeable flashlight

I actually liked the music. We have a Super WalMart near us. Also a smaller one for groceries. We buy nearly everything from there. We order the groceries online then my daughter drives there where they put them in her van ! I love camping and have done all kinds since I am 68. At the moment I can’t get out because of illness so I really appreciate your video!

The Walmart here in Stephenville newfoundland is a JOKE. They don’t carry hardly anything for camping or survival 😕

Ah Walmart, truly one of the most beautiful places to go on vacation. Was this your first one? Did you enjoy it as much as we did from beyond the screen? When I went I had hired a tour guide and I wish I saw this ahead of that and I could have saved my money for more impressive meals from the quality selection of MRE’s. I’m actually about to take 2 weeks off work to go again with my wife, that Walmart looks beautiful where did you go if you don’t mind me asking? I might be able to to get a refund or exchange on the plane tickets to Florida,( Walmarts near the Tampa area are some of the most gorgeous locations on Earth or so I heard). Well thanks for sharing part of your lovely relaxation vacation! Joining your ranks soon 😉

  13. BC Prepper on March 30, 2020 at 1:40 pm

The camping sections in the Walmarts in Kelowna BC Canada are pathetic, they have literally nothing. The Surplus Herbies shop in Vernon( less than 1 hour away) has a WAY better selection of camping and survival gear.

    Why the scary music

  15. Arthur Djahani on March 30, 2020 at 1:41 pm

Man, the music and lack of narration made me feel like I was vicariously shopping for the zombie apocalypse…but in a good way. Really great video, thanks. Getting gear together for all around camping/survival and this was not only helpful but mesmerizing to watch.

I have been in the SCA, Society for Creative Anachronism, and done the camping thing. I have a good two room tent, a tarp for under it, a cloth cover for over it when it’s cool, I have blow up matresses, all of our bedding, and I’m going to be getting a new camp stove. I mainly cook in cast iron, and I don’t drink coffee. By the way…the new silver metal barrel "Bubba" cups are better than that stuff they sell in the camping area. "Bubba" will keep cold stuff cold for 24 hours, and hot stuff hot for up to 6 hours. I have a multi-tool that I carry with me that has a wire chain saw on it. It will cut things faster than a heavy duty saw. If I’m at home, and not bugged out, I have two antique oil lamps that came out of an old Hotel in the Arizona desert when I was a baby. They work just as well now as they did then. At home I also have candles. I did the girl scout camping thing back in the 1970s, and I know how to set up a wilderness toilet. A bucket, which you can get back in the painting section of Walmart for a couple of dollars, a plastic bag, and some wood chips, or in my case my own compost. If you want to get fancy just make you a five sided box out of wood, and put a top on there with the hinged toilet lid on it. Personally that’s just too much work for me to go to so I just use the bucket as it is. I also have security as I have my own Bowie hunting stag handled knife that I wear when camping or having to survive after a disaster. Like Hurricane Irma last year. By the way…waiting to last second to buy this stuff is stupid. Get it while you can when it’s calm and quiet. Come a disaster, of whatever sort, and you are going to find that most of this stuff is gone by the time you decide to get your behind there to buy it. I have my disaster kit set up and stored in the garage already. So while everyone else is out there going out of their minds trying to buy stuff I sit back and shake my head and spend that time battening down the hatches for whatever is coming. By the way……Irma took half my roof, and we had waterfalls in the house that night. From here on out I’m getting light duty tarps to cover any furniture, and buying a few more buckets to use to catch water.

My local Wal-Mart has had a pretty good selection in the camping section lately. about a month ago they got a lot of new items in that they’ve never had before like actual backpacking nesting cook kits, a wider selection of water purifiers and stuff like that. But for the last 3 months they’ve been out of Mnt. House meals, until today when I went in and they finally had some. So I stocked up on those and a few other things. And now they have more than just the Equip "single " & " double " hammocks, they’ve added the Equip mossi net hammock, tree straps and rain fly, plus the double that has built in LED’s . So overall it’s gotten much better. I’ve gotten a lot of my gear from there, some things I’d rather pay for higher quality and go with top of the line , but if I can get away with Wal-Mart stuff I definitely try to when i can.

  26. Vadim Sher on March 30, 2020 at 2:08 pm

Unforchinatly, not all Walmart stores are stuffed as good as you show. The one in Woodbridge doesn’t carry half the stuff that I have seen in the video.

  27. richard seymore on March 30, 2020 at 2:09 pm

Hey i have a question. Are the Emergency food rations EBT approved? I’m just curious.

  34. Grimm 1313 on March 30, 2020 at 2:20 pm

Ok here is my review. If your going to be camping outdoor for more than a week then carry what you need to survive. First aid kit, tent for two , tarp to go on the ground and one to go above the tent a well dependable sharp knife an axe not a cheep knock off but a reliable one , matches water proof a stick nighter to start a fire fast when wet. A flashlight ,extra cord to have sleeping bag and a mat to got under the sleeping bag. Food dry and wet food to last a week or more, cooking pots and pan seasoning salt and pepper garlic . plates spoons fork and a knife. Ad thungs you shouldn’t take with you heavy stoves chairs that are too heave and take up space. A good coat waterproof and hiking shoes. And under clothes cap or binny cap and tools that are easy to use light weight and can be carried very easily. All othe bulky stuff should be JUNKED.

I’m not sure but ,if anyone else is searching for
    canned foods for survival
try Franaar Spies Control Formula (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got great success with it.

  36. Linda Taylor on March 30, 2020 at 2:24 pm

By the way..the fan you showed…..unless you have 6 DD batteries forget it. It doesn’t have an electrical plug. Oh and unless you live north where you might have to prep for snow and ice……forget the sleeping bags. They get wet and they stay wet for days. Go to Goodwill and get bedding there. Buy a small tarp, and wrap the bedding in the tarp. Then you have better than the sleeping bag. If it gets wet you can drape it over trees or rocks and get it dry in an hour. Sleeping bag takes days. I also have a sun shelter. I live in Florida. We have to worry about hurricanes. And that entails lots of rain afterwards. We got 16 inches with Irma, and another 9 inches, or more, after Irma. We had to worry about the wet and the sun. We had to clean up roof out of our yard as I lost half my roof. And downed tree. Fortunately we have good neighbors who were willing to help us out. My 50 year old, 65 foot tall, Native Yellow Poinciana tree was pulled a foot up out of the ground. We almost lost her. We’ve had to cut her severely back so she could get her footing again.
