Hunting Accident Caught on Video - Hunters Education Lesson - MissionOutdoors.Net
Hunting accident caught ON CAMERA! I first posted this video on my Facebook page about a week ago, and honestly it was some of the comments that made me decide to do a follow up to the video and point out a few things about what went right and what went wrong with this situation. I was given permission by Roderick Lauer to share his video and story on my YouTube channel, but keep in mind that this is still an active investigation so there are not a whole lot of other details that can be shared at this time.
Another topic that was brought up was the hunter orange, or blaze orange requirements when hunting with a firearm. Those rules do not apply when hunting turkeys or waterfowl in most states due to the birds ability to see color very well, and also the fact that you are typically sitting in one place and calling too the birds instead of trying to sneak in on them. If you wish to argue about it, please at least take the time to read the regulations for the state in question.

Where’s the blaze orange ANYWHERE???
The shooter should be banned for life . I am 49 years old and hunted ever since I could walk. My dad took me when I was 5. Never one time have I ever shot at something that I didn’t know what it was.
Great video I will give you a little video tip when you’re bald don’t stand in front of a turkey fan of feathers. It makes you look like Larry from The Three Stooges.

Idk where this was, but who the hell hunts turkey with a .243????
Was the victim hurt very bad? I could see it was a "flesh wound", but as an ex-.243 hunter, I know the damage those rounds can do! A projectile only glancing just under the skin can deflect inward and take a leg off!
