I really hope this is one list you guys will consider re-doing. 🙂

If I can add a few new ones to the list would be:
    Covert

Sam has a list of the best 53 player games?
I’d love to see that, I didn’t know there were so many to choose from :p

  7. Eric Finley on November 30, 2019 at 2:56 pm

Of all the Top 10s this is the one I would like to see updated most. Followed closely by every other Top 10! I love these videos.

Carcassonne, sooooo nice with three. Four is too much and Two is a little non-confrontational.

  9. MT Worlds on November 30, 2019 at 2:58 pm

I have been pressing 5 for over a minute. It’s like a lame argument while sam twiddles his finger

  15. Casey Pierson on November 30, 2019 at 3:03 pm

I humbly request you guys do an updated version of this. I would love some 3 player game recommendation.

  16. Hirni on November 30, 2019 at 3:05 pm

I agree with Sam on the x-wing issue. I like playing with all the cheap emperial models splitt between two players. For me it adds a nice twist to the game because I have to communicate and plan with my team mate which makes is a bit more challenging. At the same time the Strategy of the emperials gets more diverse because there are now two players trying to out smart the rebell player with his almost tank like, fully upgraded ships.

+ I often use this when I introduce someone to the game. Playing all that emperial ships when you are new to this kind of game can be too much. So I´ll just team up with the new player.  Then I can warn him if he´s going to make a critical mistake or he can ask me if he isnt sure wich of his options is the best to go.

And last but not least just to back up Sams argument for the mercenary faction:  You could team up the Millenium Falcon and the Slave One, since Han Solo was a gun for hire before he joined the rebellion   ;P.

  22. Sam Cheung on November 30, 2019 at 3:12 pm

You REALLY need to put the list somewhere easy to access! Preferably in the video description.

  23. John Blue on November 30, 2019 at 3:13 pm

X-Wing is in no way a 3 player game. X-Wing is like chess. Could you play chess with 2 people controlling white? Even now that there are 3 groups it is in no way a 3 player game.

  24. Tim Phipps on November 30, 2019 at 3:13 pm

Love these top 10 lists, been watching quite a lot of them! I don’t usually comment, but had to this time as I invented a whist variant specifically for 3 players a few years back. If you’re interested in trying a simple 3 player card game, you can find the rules here: https://www.pagat.com/invented/italian_whist.html

#1 Love letter = perfect 3 player game.

  26. Robb Brown on November 30, 2019 at 3:15 pm

Seriously, I google search for a list of best 3 player board games, and I get a 50 minute video? What happened to a website that just listed out the top 10 so I could be on my way.

  27. Ghostlight X on November 30, 2019 at 3:16 pm

Totally agree on Race for the Galaxy. I find that game fantastic with 3 and not good at all with any other number.

  28. Rick Callahan on November 30, 2019 at 3:19 pm

I would love to see an update of this list for 2016. Being a family of three we play two and three players almost exclusively and are always on the hunt for our next game(s).

  29. progmanrob on November 30, 2019 at 3:19 pm

I’m enjoying Concordia with 3 players.

  30. Arek Krolak on November 30, 2019 at 3:22 pm

Does Jason really exist or is he an urban legend? 🙂

  31. John Rochester on November 30, 2019 at 3:23 pm

I like how Tom disagrees with Zee’s personal choice for Kingsburg being a top 3 player game. 🙂 And suddenly Zee feels demoralized.

  32. vancouverizer on November 30, 2019 at 3:24 pm

I think Pandemic with 3 people works really well *if* each person selects their specialist. If specialists are handed out randomly then a 3 player game might suck really horribly (if you draw badly). If that happens I would highly recommend shuffling and drawing again unless you are up for a big struggle that you are sure to lose. If you are introducing new people then getting destroyed by the game is not really fun. However, losing by a little bit will keep most people interested in trying again.

  47. atzerath on November 30, 2019 at 3:41 pm

man, 95% of all games i play are with 3 players so this top 10 was great 🙂
Unfortunatly, no games on my current wishlist were mentioned so i’ll have to add to that list..

  48. Nick D on November 30, 2019 at 3:44 pm

Sorry Tom, X-wing is great as a three player… Usually play it as a free-for-all and will mix factions on occasion.

  49. IkLms11 on November 30, 2019 at 3:44 pm

Watching Zee during Sam and Tom’s X-Wing spat part 2 was hilarious.

  50. John Blue on November 30, 2019 at 3:47 pm

Came from the future to remind everyone that X-Wing is still not a 3 player game lol.
