WHERE ARE KastKing PRODUCTS MADE?
This video article about where are KastKing fishing tackle products are made may change the way you think.
Although many people think that KastKing products , including fishing reels, fishing rods, and fishing line are made in China, that is only partially true. KastKing is a brand of Eposeidon Outdoor Adventure, Inc., which is an American company incorporated in the State of New York, with headquarters in Garden City, Long Island New York. Most of the KastKing product concept and design work takes place in the USA. There is a KastKing product design office near Atlanta, Georgia and a product development office near Denver, Colorado, which also manages new product testing.
KastKing does manufacture fishing reels and fishing rods in China, right alongside almost everyone else including Lew’s, Abu Garcia, Penn, and most other brands in the fishing tackle industry. In fact, more than 80% of all fishing tackle is made in China. Even more interesting to note, most of the fishing rods and fishing reels for all brands come from just one city in China, Weihai (Way-High) , that is located on the coast of the Yellow Sea. It is often called the Fishing Tackle Capitol of the World! Weihai was originally a small coastal fishing village, so you can see how it got started in manufacturing fishing tackle.
Okay, as we said, KastKing manufactures products in China right along with other major fishing tackle brands, but that is only part of the entire story. KastKing also manufactures fishing reels in South Korea, and obtains fishing reel parts from Japan. KastKing makes products in Germany, such as KastKing Kovert fishing line, KastKing sunglasses components typically come from Italy and are designed with engineering from Switzerland.
But hold on a minute… KastKing also produces products in the USA. For example, KastKing solely produces KastKing KastPro braided fishing line in America.
So as you can see, Eposeidon and its KastKing brand are truly an international company creating and selling fishing tackle on a global basis. What keeps KastKing’s prices low and affordable are its direct to consumer business practices, which doesn’t rely on warehouse distributors, expensive traditional advertising, and the added costs of retail stores. KastKing does not rely on cheap parts or cut corners in manufacturing to keep prices down. As you may realize, the production costs of a KastKing reel are about the same as other major brands.

Nice to know more about a brand that I use and like it 😀 👌
Great video!!! Peeling back the curtain on where gear is made makes it clear that KastKing products are just as high quality, if not more, than most well known brands. KastKing products take a backseat to no other brand on the market in terms of quality and performance. And they do that at a price that everyone can afford.
Crocktest, how funny is that😂😂😂
Lamiglas makes several rods in Washington.
Can she read me a book to sleep. Gotta respect KastKing for clearing the air!
It would be nice if the quality control was a little better on the cheaper reels.
hey guys how do we get some hats and shirts etc I recently purchased a pair of 4000s and a pair of 6000s ….thanks
Great video for shutting up all those that talk smack about your products. I started with your line and moved onto other products. Great products at great prices! Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Awesome video! I love KastKing products….
Bring it ALL back to the USA. Whatever company jumps on this first will reap the rewards the most. You’re probably best suited to make it happen.
Ny baby
Great video!! Love my kastking gear!!
Am a fan of KastKing from first sight. Affordable Innovation indeed. Much love from Zimbabwe.
Spartacus Maximus is out of prudoction???
where can I buy a kastking valliant eagle spinning reel model krlspnves10gn with the green highlights?? emerald eagle edition
Own spinning reel and Rod and a baitcaster and rod !!! Love them both !!
Spareparts is still difficult to find..
I love kastking product! I love the design and authenticity.
How is it possible to find Kovert line and Kastpro braid in aliexpress stores located in China if they are made in Germany and US respectively?
I have tried several of your products and I’m largely impressed. I’d buy from you if you took the bold step of opening a factory here in the US. I will pay more for products manufactured by Americans.
I’m really attracted the design engineering of Kastking product! Specially the colors! I’ve purchased Rod, reels, cap, shirt ,bags and tools! The design is modern into a higher level!
Please bring your manufacturing to the USA. Currently, I own one KastKing reel and zero rods. You add this to your products "Made in the USA" and that will change!
I’m in the uk I’ve just purchased two spincast Brutus reels, one for Bass fishing in the sea & one for float fishing in rivers & lakes thought I’d try the reel for that type of fishing, as over here in the uk we have a big Coarse fishing (Freshwater ) Following.
The closed face reel works perfectly on float & feeder rods too . I Also have the cork handled Spartacus bait caster , loaded with braid which is excellent for Pike fishing ….
It would be nice if more tech stuff could be made Directly in USA & Europe & GB 🇬🇧, as all our countries are innovative & Engineers like myself along with citizens from the above continents value even more highly Directly manufactured goods - its the way forward .. Both in Manufacturing expertise , quality & jobs .
However Kastking as a brand & innovation etc is excellent in my opinion . 🇬🇧……
Great video.
Many people don’t realize or simply just don’t want to admit that Made in USA is only a good thing when it’s on high tech products. Our manufacturers for things like cloths, shoes, or in this case fishing products suck.
Props to KastKing for making this video as not many manufactures will. If a rod company states that the blanks are from Japan, or that they are shipped from a USA warehouse, designed in the USA, etc, but they do not flat out state that they are manufactured in the USA, then the product they sell is probably made in China. Kastking is probably the first fishing company that flatly stated that their rods and reels and made in China (right along with 80% of the other companies out there).
I would love it if Kastking came out with a 100% USA made rod..even if they outsourced it to another company like Cashion, Lamiglas, or Kistler.
Imagine if you’d bring manufacturing to the states. Just because everyone does it, doesn’t make it right. You’d have a good chance to skyrocket to #1 by doing so. This matters to people, a lot !
I dont buy anything made in china…I’ll pay extra for Japanese gear…anything but CHINA the enemy.
I love your kapstan and salmon and catfish rods.
Would be nice to see made in the USA with USA made components, I’d pay more! But I would not care…
I have two Kast King rods and 8 Royale and Royale II reels. All work great!! The rods are quality and were priced at a point that I felt confident about buying them. I have not been disappointed in either the reels or the rods.
I’m no longer purchasing anything manufactured in China
I love my kastking rod and reel… and plan to add more to my arsenal
Because everyone else does something doesn’t make it right.
It’s time for a company to be a pioneer. I’m willing to pay more. I hope this lands on the right eyes
Poor crock tho! But great products!
Kastking reels are from oversea. They are not made in the USA are they?
I have and use several KK products.
I like them all but it’s hard to support China with everything going on in the world right now.
when are you guys gonna start making carp rods
Wot is better reel for pike ent zander kastking brutus or kastking summer in 3000….
I love My kasking reels. You should Start sell them in Sweden. Import fee kills the deal
Be the first to bring the manufacturing of rods and reels back to the United States. I’m sure your business would become number 1. I love your product but it is hard to buy knowing where the money goes.
Bring it to the USA for manufacturing
I have to agree with the comments below we need US manufacturing back in the US as a business owner I understand your way of business however someone has to take the first step don’t be like Apple.
Bring it all home
I’ll stick to 20% made in USA
china
Lmao maybe the Atlanta one didn’t get set on fire.
So made in China…
I own 6 Rods Total & 5 are Kast King.
I am willing to pay a bit more for the products that are made in the USA. We need to bring back manufactoties to the USA.
